My oldest cigars are a box of cigars my grandfather gave me before he passed on my 18th birthday. He gave me a box of Arturo Fuente Hemingway Maduros, that he purchased in 1990s. On my 18th birthday he presented them to me and had already been aging them for 30 years, I still have 15 left, but I keep them sparingly and keep them in the best condition I possibly can

I agree, a milder cigar doesn’t seem to improve with age, while a medium to full bodied stick seems to get smoother and more mellow. I have some Padron 1926s that I have been aging for ten years. I only have two left, but they are fantastic, significantly better than a new 1926.

I wouldn't have the staying power to keep away from Padron 1926's for ten years! They are great right off the shelf and I can't even imagine how good they are ten years down the line.

I appreciate all who have the patience to age cigars. But in my opinion, if I buy a cigar and then I have to age it for X amount of years then to me the factory has failed to do its job and that’s why I like Perdomo Cigars so much because they already aged the cigars, already. Perdomo cigars are ready right out of the package right out of the box to smoke. I know you can’t smoke all your cigars at once. So they’re gonna age on their own already anyway, but shout out to all of those who have the patience to age of cigars. Not for me. they’re going to age naturally anyway by sitting in the humidor, so I guess they’re gonna age anyway.

aging your cigar longer doesn’t mean they aren’t aged. just think of it as shelf life in cigar terms. some cigars just taste better the longer you have them and some don’t.

I have to say I have a lot of people say, it's already aged before it's roles. And my response is, you age filler binder and wrapper separate and than role it up is one that, but once it's combined and you age it with all the different tobacco together... it allows the flavors of each to age together. It's not the same. I love ones what comes out in the end. I have some that the calo is so dark it's like having tinted window in the car.

Wonderful list guys. But I think a sleeper cigar would be the LFD Cabinet No.5 Maduro. I have a box that's going on 4 years old, and that oily blackend wrapper is such a beautiful thing, which smokes to perfection.

The Davidoff 2016 Art Edition aged very well and it's a mild cigar. I smoked most of them early on but saved on to celebrate my daughter's graduation from college. It was incredible.

The only way I would be able to age a cigar for a decade is when I hit the Powerball and have my walk-in humidor made so I can stash a bunch of boxes away while smoking the ones on display.😂

I'm not fond of too many cigars that aren't full bodied. That being said, there is a clear difference in an aged cigar. When I get a new box of smokes I always lay them down for at least three to four weeks before I even consider smoking them. It may sound odd but they really need to settle down in your humidor before you get the best out of them. I usually have at least five boxes on hand, of different cigars. Currently I have boxes of Oliva Master Blends 3, New World Oscuro, Oliva Monticello, Aging Room Nicaragua, and a few Oliva V's, Man O' War Ruination 10th Anniversary, as well as a few random other smokes. I like to have a choice on what I want to smoke on any given day. I've had most of what you guys smoked in this video. My preference goes to Nicaraguan smokes. I've smoked the Chisel Double Ligero and that Ashton VSG but neither really do anything for me. I do love the Fuente Hemingway line and, especially the Padron 1926 line, as well as that other gem, the La Aroma De Cuba Reserva. Only problem for me is the apartments, where I live have been evolving with the anti-smoking crowd. First they allowed smoking everywhere. Then they said only on your balcony or outside. A couple years go by and now smoking is only allowed like 20 yards away from the buildings. I'm waiting for the final footstep to drop when they announce no smoking period on their property. You all know how it works.....you give them an inch and they start demanding more and more until they fully ban smoking. It's really gotten to the point of ridiculous. I mean, that anti-smoking crowd recently tried to ban smoking in cigar lounges!!! Did they learn nothing from Prohibition?

For me, a box pressed cigar has a strong draw with lots of smoke. I think it definitely changes taste as well. I've noticed differences from round to box pressed on the same cigar. Both are amazing but I would give an edge to box pressed.

I see lots of folks especially in your video who take their cigars out of the celo and set them in the humidor. Me personally I would rather keep them in the celo cause I live in South Texas. The humidity and temperatures fluctuate really crazy here. In the early mornings it will be humid, then the middle of the day will be very dry. The humidity fluctuates from 63% to 71% RH in my home. But the temp will stay at around 70 degrees all day

Funny story regarding your "older" comment, Mazz. Last night at the lounge I work at, an older customer greeted me with "young man" and I said to him something along the lines of "well, you called me 'young man,' so I feel like I have to call you 'old man.' But 'old man' is kinda insulting. So I'll just call you 'older man.'" 🤣🤣🤣
