I remember when Spiderman came out for the PSX, It was magic pure magic. From the intro narration from Stan "the man" Lee to the final climatic chase, it was pure fun. Heck, when it came out and the guys at Wizard (an old comic book magazine) stopped working for 6 hours JUST to play the game.

Carlton Powell Lego Batman 2 is my favourite Lego game, the absolute best Superman video game experience, he was so overpowered and felt awesome to play as. Open world Gotham City as well 👌

Couldn't agree more with the number one spot. Arkham Asylum's one of the most tightly crafted games I've ever had the joy of playing through! As for my own list... Spider-Man 2 Enter Electro on PS1, Marvel vs Capcom 2 on Dreamcast, agree X-Men Mutant Academy but I'm going to go for the sequel, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 is proving lot of fun to co op with my kids over on the Switch, and I also have fond memories of Superman Man of Steel on Mega Drive.

My Top 5 are : 1. Arkham City 2. Injustice 2 3. Arkham Asylum 4. a tie between Spiderman PS4 and Dimensions 5. Lego Batman 2 , this started the Lego games renaissance with Voices and Open World gameplay. Also The Darkness and Darksiders are Great (Darksiders feels like a Comic Book game)

Spiderman ps4 not number 1 makes this entire list void. Also where are the honorable mentions such as x-men, spiderman the video game and the avengers arcade games. It's his opinion a poor one but nonetheless his. 1. Spiderman ps4 2. Batman Arkham City Some of the rest but not in any particular order are. Batman animated series game for snes, turtles in time, turtles original arcade game, x-men, spiderman the video game arcade game, the avengers arcade game, spiderman 1 for playstation. Spiderman 2 for the ps2, Batman returns for snes. Your list includes games that are good but the following ones dont compare at all to any of the ones mentioned above. Wolverine origins, batman nes and no way Arkham asylum as number one. Good game though but not number one.

Ya know......I can't argue with any of these picks. Good list. I also had a somewhat similar experience with comics just I'm older. I quit reading them in about 1993 and started again in 2015. Walked into a comic shop for the first time in 22 years and say Jonathan Hickman's Secret Wars. The original series had been the first comic storyline I had read. I picked it up and now I'm sitting on 3000+ issues and counting. 😂 I had played games forever and always enjoyed the comic adaptations. Ultimate alliance and legends and the Lego games were favorites even when I didn't read.

I do understand why people like it. And I acknowledge that it’s a good game. But it’s pretty overrated in my opinion. It feels pretty clunky and stiff even comparing to other games that were already out way before Arkham Asylum. The fact games like kingdom hearts 2 and San Andreas were out before Arkham Asylum makes it hard for me to like it.
