I’m a collector from Sweden, collecting mainly Swedish comics. I had a huge amount of spider-man, transformers and stuff like that during my childhood that I just threw or gave away. While Swedish comics are no way near as pricey as their US-counterparts , I definitely missed out on some value

James, I gotta add to/correct your info about Love and Rockets. The photo you showed is of the third (at least) printing of the Fantagraphics #1 - the first printing had a 2.95 cover price, the second a 3.50. Don't know how many printings there were but that is at least the third and there's no way anybody's getting thousands for that - well, they shouldn't. I think when you talk about thousands, you are talking about the self-published #1 with a b/w, totally different cover, which came out in 1981 - that one does go for big bucks and I've been trying to get a copy myself for a while. The early printings of the Fantagraphics books seem to go for several hundred apiece usually; but checking I see that there's only one graded 9.8 of the Fanta #1 1st print so I suppose it might hit the four figures if it were sold. Or more. Can't say I've ever thrown out anything valuable myself, though I have plenty of stories of passing up stuff that became valuable, such as a STACK of TMNT #1 1st printings for $5 apiece at a con not long after it came out...

I’ve thrown away several copies of “Star Wars: Last Jedi - DJ - Most Wanted” #1 on the direct order of my LCS owner. He had many, many overstock copies of this book and hated the cover and story so much that he didn’t even want me to hand copies out for free for fear of it steering people away from comics.

Love these list videos James. The thing about old objects which are now valuable is that they may not have been worth much for a long time, so you can't really kick yourself if you sold an Aliens #1 for $100 years ago when it was worth maybe $50. By the way, I like the cover of Love And Rockets #1, it really reminds me of Brian Bolland's art style.

All the comics that I sold/traded (for various reasons) before the comic boom of the mid 90s would be worth a nice figure in today's market especially if graded as they were all at least 7.5 - mid 9s (The Flash 105 & TMNT 1(2nd) , OMG). One dealer I traded with said these early Avengers were the nicest to come into his shop in a very long time and those I know would have graded in the 9s.

I just completed my original Grendel run all CGC Universal Blue 9.8 White pages! It literally took me over 20 years to get the Grendels 1 and 2. Issue 3 and Primer 2 I've had for a while. I got another set all 9.6 white. Not many folks even know about this series. It's my personal grail. I'm a bigger fan of Grendel 1 over Primer 2 however. I love the cover on the first issue and it's a full story and has the origin of Hunter Rose. There's only 13 issue 1's and six issue 2's graded 9.8. White pages is extremely rare with these early Comico. I have every comic raw from their B&W early days besides the CGC Grendels. Loved that era.

@@MintHunterComics It was getting rough after so many years of searching and submitting raws. I was on the verge of asking folks like yourself and some of the other comicbook people on KZbin and Instagram to please be on the lookout for raw highgrade copies and submit them to CGC. But finally my hard work paid off! There is one other guy selling the set all 9.8 on eBay but he's asking 23k. Not only is that a little too pricey but 3 of the 4 don't have the white pages. It was so much more satisfying building the collection myself anyways. Also a heck of a lot cheaper.😝

Dude the "Good Girl Naughty Covers" are Metal as fuck and decently popular. You can definitely argue they do not sell nowhere near that of traditional superhero titles but books like Razor, CFD, Avengelyne, Lady Death (etc) all fall in line with the Spawn following (Even though CFD and LD came before Spawn). Niche comics for sure but not as unpopular as one outside of that circle would think.
