Having done this before (at sunset no less, the perfect time IMO) The key is to stop at the restroom on the way in, and again on the way out. You can *easily* drink your tickets worth in htat half hour.

I consider myself to be a roller coaster enthusiast and travel as much as I can to ride. I'l ride any coaster (including regularly riding the world"s tallest - Kingda Ka), but I am scared on ferris wheels and gondola/ski lift type rides. So far, the only ferris wheel I havent been scared on and actually enjoy is the inside sliding cars on the Coney Island Wonder Wheel. Id prob be scared in the stable cars though.

What about the Coney Island Wonder Wheel or its clone at Disneyland's California Adventure? They're two of the last remaining "eccentric Ferris wheels," where you can choose a slow ride in an outside car, or a much wilder ride sliding around in an inside car.

The world needs a ferris wheel built into the loop of a rolercoaster with a seperate rolercoaster flying through the middle.

That would probably be quite an engineering challenge. Roller coaster loops aren't circular, which isn't much of an issue. The tricky bit is because of the "width" of a roller coaster vertical loop, with the entry and exit tracks a few meters apart from each other. So the loop would need to be "stretched" horizontally (sort of like a corkscrew loop) in order to give enough clearance for the ferris wheel gondolas in the middle.

I had the honor of finally riding the "Wonder Wheel" at coney island this year and I honestly feel it needs a shout out. Still thrilling after all these years this part of history deserves a mention. (and finally riding the "CYCLONE" was the greatest thrill of my life!)

Went on the high roller in Vegas! My mum didn't think it would be great because it was "just a Ferris wheel" she loved it! Stunning views! You can bring your drinks with you inside the cabin! Totally worth it!!!

I did the High Roller in Las Vegas earlier this year & we booked the bar pod. Let me tell you, go to the bathroom before you go unless you can hold it for half an hour! The height made me a little woozy too!

I wasn't expecting to see the Wiener Riesenrad here! People often overlook the fact that our country even exists lol. "Riesenrad" is actually pronounced kinda like this: "Reesanrud" A little funfact about it, formula 1 race cars have ridden this ferris wheel. To promote the Austrian GP, some gondolas where replaced by race cars for a few days.

Yes, being tall and odd shaped indeed makes a Ferris Wheel "cool". But when a Ferris Wheel is part of a roller coaster as with Maximum RPM is needs to be recognized. Someday when you update this list, please consider adding this wonderful gem from the short lived Hard Rock Park.

I've been on the Dotombori Don Quijote Wheel back when it first opened. Technically, Dotonbori is a river and just some streets in the Namba area of Osaka. It's known for food, particularly seafood. Shinsaibashi a short walk away is the place for many types of shopping.

Love the High Roller in Las Vegas! And it is really tall! I took some cool pictures when we were walking towards it to go on...It was fun going at night, all the city lights were on and it plays some great music in each pod. We went in November for my birthday but they had the A/C blasting inside and we were freezing by the time we got off the High Roller and we were wearing our jackets! But it’s worth going on...I would love to see the Ferris wheel in Romania and see inside the salt mine. All those Ferris wheels look so amazing, the people who designed these Ferris wheels are geniuses! What the mind can think of to create something for everyone to enjoy! 😁💖
