I would say that this list suffers from recency bias. Dæhlie was active a while ago, but skiing wasn’t invented in the nineties. Personally, since it’s a mixed list, I think I’d put Björgen as number one.

as a big fan of klaebo and niskanen I really have to say that your list is way too men centered. how can niskanen or kruger be placed above someone like justina kowalczyk. Further more Bjoergen not on rank one in my opinion is really hard, maybe klaebo can outperform her in the future but he is certainly lacking a world champs or olympic gold over the distances. Otherwise great video and I would certainly agree with the order you listed the man.

I know about him and 20km in Planica it was absolutely dominating performance. He has contract in Jumbo Visma to 2027 and he has one of the highest VO2Max in the world.
