The reason terror pit makes at the top is because there ain't many cards tpin dm tcg which can save you from a final blow

Appreciate the deep dive and sometimes showing decks Gives alot of insight One of my favorite darkness cards is horrid worm 😂 got some common Japanese copies from a Win kirifuda deck and I was happy asf almost as if it were high quality rarity lol Also one of my favorites test playing id Gregoria princess of war that grants Demon command Blocker Been using a darkness water deck (marinomancer and eureka charger go wild) and damn trip to Japan I’m hunting down to make it a physical deck not just playing on emulation 😂 that’s how much I loved it 😈🌊

Grinning Hunger is also among the nastiest darkness spells. It might not be as impactful to gameplay as Cranium Clamp but it is a damn annoying card that get's into the opponent's minds.

not in english but still going strong in japan, third top tcg in japan - there is translations for the digital client

I like the list, except for the fact that Ice Vapor is not in it, especially given how impactful it is in the meta and how it makes Fortress and LWDF Deckout shake in their boots. Quite a few lists that run darkness add 2 of it for that reason. I would put Ice Vapor at #7, move Morbid to #6 paired alongside Corpse Charger and move Spinning Terror at #10 paired alongside Jewel Spider because of the low representation, as Ice Vapor has seen more success than those 2 anyway

​@@claudealpha2090 Yup, Vapor was #11, very close to making the cut, but in the end I put the #10 card above it. Main reason was that I don't feel it's as good against Fire controls as people seem to think. Lots of elegant answers to it in that civ. Volcano Charger, Bazagazeal Dragon, Magmarex, Miraculous Rebirth, or any mass removal spell (you don't feel bad about the discard when you've destroyed Vapor together with 3 other things). Very strong against Fortress though. So it ends up being a bit of a meta call, whereas the #10 card is just a staple in the decks it's featured in. Notably I wanted to do an honorable mention list specifically for Ice Vapor, but the video was already longer than I'd originally planed.

@@MrBazat Yeah, I understand. Although IDC wise, it would definitely be in top 10 imo as Fortress isn't going anywhere and LWDF is quite popular as well, but if you're talking Duel Masters TCG formats as a whole including 40 card with restrictions and stuff, then yeah, it falls outside of top 10. I would still pair Morbid Medicine with Corpse Charger at #6 at least, I often times find Corpse Charger to be even better than Morbid, while Morbid is better late game, so they're both around the same level imo

I would also have vapor on the list rather than jewel spider. I think you're much more likely to add darkness to have vapor than to have jewel spider.

Yeah, it's definitely more meta defining, at least in IDC. Not sure about 40 card format tho. But even there, if we're talking 40 cards, Jewel Spiders would become worse there too and you're still more likely to slot Ice Vapor in the deck to counter the few 40 card rubys running around I'd wager

Sry but i cant confirm that slash charger is the third best darkness card... With the exception of slash charger, its a cool list!
