Yes, but that was before the World Championship circuit that started in the EX era/DP era, once Pokemon took over the TCG from Wizards of the Coast. Plus, it's been seen now that a Lickitung Stall deck is the best deck in the Base-Fossil format.

The intro is still written and present in the video description (as it always has been even when also in the video), so one can still read it. I’m guessing cutting this was to lose less people/having them skip the intro, thus weakening the retention and thus the algorithm.
