It’s the best Denzel role. My husband kept putting off watching it for 10 years, I kept trying to convince him to see it. Finally, he broke down and watched it right after Christmas with me and was blown away and it’s now one of his favourite films of all time. He loved the writing and directing and acting.

I'm sure I've watched Man on Fire at least 50 times. I cry every single time the kidnapping takes place, and I cry even harder at the ending. So many wonderful things about this movie. Love how the bullet didn't work for him, but it did for the father. I don't think there is one thing about this movie I didn't love.

"Remember the Titans" was a good movie, yet ranking this one as Number One is a questionable choice. Denzel showed portrait of various parts that he was successful in and it's a surprise not to see "Training Day", "Hurricane", "Man on fire", "Malcom X", at the top ranking. This man has given us among the most exciting films and entertainments.

My number one favorite Denzel Washington movie is probably Glory (1989) which won him an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. I also liked him in Malcolm X (1992), Philadelphia (1993), Training Day (2001; won an Oscar for Best Actor) and American Gangster (2007). I also understand that his son John David Washington has following in his footsteps. Like father, like son.

IMO DW deserved Oscar for Hurricane and was compensated with “Training Day”. Hurricane had the range of emotions that was perfectly captured by him. Training day was a cakewalk for his standard.
