what's doper is that he set the whole thing up when he heard her voice. He knew she'd say yes based on how nice she was earlier and she knew the kids would be cool with it and even let them carry one of them because of how nice he was when they met him. He was never menacing or threatening which is what secured his out. I'm sure he devised the whole plan the moment he noticed dude's family was home.

I think a lot of people overlook the line, "the front doorbell is broken!" McCall likely sabotaged that doorbell and lurked by the back door for several minutes so that Dave and his crew wouldn't be made well aware of his presence at Dave's estate and so they couldn't premeditate a way to outsmart McCall at that time and capture/kill him right then and there.

It's what signifies a good director from a regular one, because you'll see small, tiny, details if you pay attention. Especially if the actor does his job well.

The girls are too young to have developed any preconceived prejudice and they trust that their father will introduce them to people who won’t harm them. Some people are also blessed with a type of charisma which kids gravitate to, which Robert clearly has.

It’s two very very different characters. McCall is a strait laced, OCD, highly lethal weapon strong in his convictions and determination, esp what he believes is right and wrong. A true believer. Creasy is a broken down alcoholic taking any job he can, whose affection for the little girl brings him back to a livable reality. All to sacrifice himself for her well being
