13:09 Shouldn't the bot avoid that obstacle? what does it use the ultrasonic sensor for?
@oliviergoggins5 жыл бұрын
I thought the same. You also need a project to make at school? I do. I want to make maybe a bot that avoids obstacles or maybe a security camera, maybe you have any ideas for me. Not too easy, not to difficult and not too expensive to make.
@markusschnepf5 жыл бұрын
@@oliviergoggins Hi Olivier, I do not need a project for school because I'm already 26 y/o. I'm a software developer and self employed so I do know how to program very well. A bot that avoids obstacles is a nice projekt but does not have a real purpose. A security cam would be the better project IMHO. But then please stay away from Arduino because they provide too less computing power (with 8Hz to 16Hz clock rate it would take 1-3 minutes to process and save only ONE image in HD resolution). Try using a raspberry pi Zero W (the "W" is important because it stands for "wireless" [wifi and bluetooth]). The zero W is quite cheap and building the camera + programming it is quite fun. If you don't have the knowledge about raspberry/linux: there are maaaany tutorials online). If you need help don't hesitate to contact me and I will help you to get this project done. even if you decide for another project. I built myself a RC Rover with 4 Motors/Chains, but that does cost a bit more.

I've watched a lot of these videos now and I have a serious question. Are there any Arduino projects that aren't worthless, pointless garbage? Or something that I can't already buy as a complete working gadget off of Amazon? I don't think I've seen anything on KZbin with any genuine inventiveness and innovative worth.
@yaroslavvoloh67845 жыл бұрын
Arduino is just a platfrom for experiments and prototyping. No one will offer you a product based on all these wires, glue, etc. If you want to upgrade one of your prototypes to a working solution, you need to select a microcontroller, a set of modules, design a PCB and test this stuff. Of course, there are some interesting projects based on arduino-like devices, but I think they are all overpriced (maybe excerpt for the RPi projects).

You can make a HOTAS (Hands on Throttle and Stick) for flight simulators. Many affordable joysticks use a low resolution sensor (255 points on each axis). With an arduino you can bump the accuracy up to 1023 dots on each axis which is 4x the resolution.

So you are just taking peoples video, of projects they have put a lot of time, effort and money into. Which they document for free to support the community which helped them learn in the first place. You are then using that video without even so much as a credit to make money/grow your channel. Classy.
