Lowery's is the one that I'll never forget. He'd already made birdie from a water hazard on 14 and holed out for eagle on 15. I remember thinking to myself, "I wouldn't be surprised if he holes this," just before he hit his second shot on 17. I'd never anticipated an albatross before and I haven't anticipated one since. Lowery was just unbelievable during that stretch of 4-5 holes. Too bad he missed the putt to win or we'd probably still be talking about it.

I live in the US and always have and this is the first time I’ve ever heard it referred to as a double eagle. Even in Golfing games (i.e. everybody’s golf/hotshots) it’s called an albatross. Idk why they would call it double eagle

Jim Gallagher Jr @ # 2 used a 5 iron for a 210 yrd shot in 1990. Today's pros would use a 7 iron or shorter to make that shot. A combination of better swing coaching and advanced CAD of equipment. Amazing shots.

POSSIBLY 1ST TIME EVER GOLF SHOTS. While playing a small local tournament at an Executive Course in S.D. (4 par 4's and 14 par 3's). When a guy in the group ahead of us aced 3 of the par 3 holes ranging from 120 -165 yards. . . . . Consecutively. The celebration in the group spread to our group starting with high 5's on the 1st one to unbelievable shock and amazement realizing what we had just witnessed, an amazing accomplishment.
