My hidden drugatore gems: 1. Rimmel Stay Matte Primer is THE BEST for oily skin. Hands down. I live in TX too, so heat+oily skin= hot mess. But this primer holds up better than any other I've tried. 2. Loreal Butterfly mascara, waterproof. Again with the oily skin - waterproof holds a curl. And I like the brush on this, it fans my sparse little lashes out. 3. Maybelline "Pink for Me" and "Mauve for Me" lipsticks. They are so flattering and nice. I always get compliments.

An oldie but a goodie that I enjoy is Garnier Micellar Oil-Infusion Cleansing water to take off eye make-up. I picked-up a Revolution Forever Flawless Affinity palette because the packaging is cute, the shimmies spark joy every time I use it. 💖 People in USA and Canada, have a look on Thread-Up as they might have fashion from previous seasons. I live in RSA, we don't have anything as well-designed as Thread-Up's system...I am low-key jealous.

The volcano rock roller ball thing did nothing for me. It got greasy and Foundation on it in 2 swipes then stopped working. I washed it per instructions. It too 2 days to fully dry. And it just doesn't feel like it's working.

I love everything Moira but I bought 6 of the new cream shadows and they don’t stick to my eyelids. I have tried them with sticky eye primer, no primer, opaque primer. Nothing works. I am soooo sad. CT ones did the same thing. I am hanging on to them in hopes I figure it out. 😩

When it comes to “better than high end”, I always wonder about how well the products wear and also their shelf life. Cuz I will find drug store products that I love when I put them on, and then they just don’t last or, instead of being good formulas that last for years of use, they stop working well after 6mo. I’m thinking blush, bronzers, eyeshadows, setting sprays, etc. and let’s not talk about the drug store blushes that break after the smallest use…. So yeah. I love trying new products and drugstore prices are much more conducive for that, but when it comes to wanting to look nice all day and become a go-to long term fave and bang for your buck, high end is so much more worth it.
