You can definitely use non-effects monsters for Knightmares in Duel Links. Just like in real life, they only say “different names”. They don’t care at all about what kind of monster it is.

Honorable Mention to Double Ripple. A spell that, for the cost of sending a Tuner and 1 or more non-Tuner monsters fromt your field to the GY, allows you to Special Summon 1 Power Tool Dragon and 1 Ancient Fairy Dragon. You only spend 3 cards to summon 2 monsters that normally cost you 4 cards to summon them. And on top of that, Power Tool and Ancient Fairy are 2 Synchros that give you more advantage by searching more cards (a equip spell and a field spell).

It's not an exclusive card, but Duel Links does have the fun odd exclusive anyway. The card Noble Knight's Shield-Bearer was introduced in the game very early on and had its effects ported over from the Tag Force games, as the IRL card didn't exist at the time. Then it DID get printed IRL, and when Sherry was dropped a while back, she brought the TCG/OCG version of Shield-Bearer with her. As such, it's the only card in Duel Links to share the same name while also having two different effects. For those interested, the game-exclusive version can only banish a Light Monster to draw a card upon Normal Summon. The IRL card adds Special Summoning to the mix and has an additional effect that you can banish it from the hand/field to bring one Level 6 or lower Wind Beast Monster from deck to hand.

There are two versions in the card pool now. You get to play three of either form but only three between them. The Sherry Le Blanc unlock brought that in to the game. Kinda wild how they did that, and I am hoping they add some of the other retrains.

The Masked Knight LV cards are also Duel Links exclusive cards that can inflict effect damage to the opponent by negating their attack. They’re terrible cards so it’s no wonder they’re not printed in the TCG

My cat deck strategy is to XYZ summon Cat Girl Magician using Cat Girl and Stray Cat Girl, then use Catche Eve L2 on Quantum Cat to XYZ summon Cat Shark, which allows Cat Girl Magician to attack directly for 4000 even without Cat World being on the field. It's insanely inconsistent, but a lot of fun when it all comes together.

Balsam sucks though. There are far better machines to run than that clunky mess. If you wanna play machine, go Cyber Dragon with odd additions like Kozmo Dog Carrier (the 2600 jobbie that summons tokens) for a more fun time.

Barrel Dragon is more related to a gunslinger duel, I think. An American is more likely to go High Noon than Russian Roulette. Considering the retrain is "Desperado", you have more leaning towards the duel instead. Twin Barrel Dragon is another.

Thank you for recognizing the Hangman here. I know I left a comment on your Arcana Force video specifically for not including this card. I haven't played it with Stromberg, but I have used Stromberg cards for easy Lightruler / Darkruler summon. Still, the Hangman is one of my favorite cards, but I use it with Reversal of Fate *trap card* and the *Right side up* skill, so I don't lose on the other Arcana monsters but still get the Hangman tails effect.

Where's Tomato king? It was an anime exclusive card, until it was added to Duel Links. Back in my F2P Aromage days, I would always have a copy of Tomato king in the extra deck, whenever I chose to run 2 copies of Aromage Cananga, since I could activate the "bounce" effects of Cananga and then go for the rank 3 XYZ summon into Tomato King. Remove an overlay to get a permanant plus 1000 attack, then blessed winds to get back the Cananga I just sent to the GY.

That was an awful lot of talking up Ojamandala. Would be a shame if Tri-Wight existed in duel links as a rare. No LP cost, targets any combination of three level 2 normal monsters in grave to summon. Even with Ojama Country do you realize how hard it is to get Yellow, Black, and Green all in grave? Even Tri-Wight was almost impossible and that was years ago before severe power creep. Sorry for rant, I'm still salty about the time I grinded out 3 Ojamandala's just to realize there was a better alternative.
