Just for context the greatest standing jump recorded in nfl combine (basically most explosive athlete in the world) is 46 inches and platform jump record (where you tuck in your legs) is something like 64 inches. Basically any dunker claiming they have 50 inch vert is suspect but a dunker who says they have 59 inch is just lying. Dupuy couldn’t even dunk on 11 ft 8 in rim. With 59 inch vert he should be easily clearing 13 ft dunk

All the crazy pro slam dunkers are doing such a wonderful job of proving to the world that the art of dunking is less limited than (I think) everyone believed. After having seen the best dunks produced in the NBA (specially after the ones by Vince Carter) and those of the Slam Nation (one love to Kadour Ziani and his homies) I myself thought that I won't ever see new amazing dunks. But thanks to the so many unbelievable "street dunkers" I've clearly seen I was totally wrong. It's the dunk that made me fall in love with the basketball so I have a huge respect and admiration for all these street dunkers. You are amazing men!

Peter Boylan Not true. I’m pretty sure Michael Wilson, a globetrotter, has a 55” leap. He once dunked on a 12foot hoop, which is also a record though many have speculated that Kadour Ziani, a man from slamnation, has about a 60” vert. Though this is unofficial and other reports have said that its closer to 56”, which is still an incredible feat :)
