I think showcasing the new cards on magic online is a great alternative. Though, I enjoy the paper decks more as a viewing experience. I do understand that the paper decks isn't always feasible with the timeline and economic cost. Personally, I would just like to see whatever decks you guys are brewing in paper in the gameplay series, doesn't really matter to me if its always the new set. Example: Tommy bringing his isshin v4 or any new things you guys are personally building :). Honestly, I enjoy the personalities at the table. There are some game play series where its all paper but the players are a bit stale in commentary and its kinda awkward.
