Careful, Daedream is not a second pal and it does not mean you can only have two pals out at the same time. Dazzi can do a similar thing. Also you can have multiple Daedream. It is an additional pal.

To add on to this it doesn't double your dmg it gives a second source of dmg to explain further if I have a cattavia who's doing 100 dmg and my daydreams doing 50 that's 150 which is 50% more dmg or 1.5 not saying day dreams bad or good just something to think about

Regarding Daedream: You better try 4 of those + 1 Hoocrates. Hoocrates increases Dark damage of all pals in the party. It's nutty! Yes 4 necklaces work!

One really good early pal is LUNARIS lvl 3 handiwork and really good combat pal, it is really easy just breed a direwolf and a rooby and those two are early pals.

You can have 3 pals out if you craft a dizzie harness too they stack.

Dire Howll is not bad but if you get a deer with the movement speed buff far better, even without the movement speed buff with its charging move, it moves faster and the double jump allows it to clear fairly good distances and heights. So deer is a bit better than the wolf early game

Chillet is very handy for the first tower boss. If you can find a skill fruit for Sand Tornado, it would likely solo it.

I’m surprised you did not mention free glide pal . it’s the water flying thing . When you craft saddle you have free glide while in party . You don’t have to have it out. Really useful too.
