I am 66 years old and used to be a cyclo cross champion in the 60's but with age comes limits and electric assist is perfect for me plus the wife can ride one too. so we think its a great idea.

I was just fascinated how new technology was implemented in mountain bikes. Many professionals wouldn't necessarily use pedal assist but beginners should enjoy an initial boost that will enable them to go further at all times.

Mountain biking is a thrilling adventure, not for the faint hearted though. This is where modern technology steps in and tries to attract more beginners to this energy-demanding sport. I approve of electric ROAD bikes. E- mountain bikes just doesn’t seem to make any sense

MTB has changed radically, using electric assist. IT's not about making it easier to climb hills. It's about doing trail sections way faster. This demands an increase in reaction times, throughout your entire ride. Lines through corners have changed, due to this speed.

Thanks for your comment. I sense an opinion of an expert. Im not one, just a ln excited consumer, but have been fighting the battle trying to prove to my viewers that electric bikes won't make us fat, but will rather make biking more accessible, fun and exciting.

You didn't include any of the Stealth bikes. Big mistake. Stealth's lowest quality bike is better than anything you listed; and I'm referring to Stealth electric bikes from several years ago. If you're reading this and you're not familiar with Stealth, look up the Stealth B-52, the F-37, the P-7R. You will be blown away.

well I think for the average consumer, and even the prosumer, top notch quality bikes should be under 4k.. Haibike has 3 full suspension mountain-cross models under 4k ... none of them in this review... i am not promoting haibike or any company but it would have been nice to see some options in that range as not all brands are popularly marketed and the average person like me isn't able to find all options and best choices out there....
