Exactly Spuffy should have been #2! They took the trope added Mortal Enemies to beyond even lovers. This became a formula for every modern couple basically that are based on them. Sam & Diane were the first to use the Enemies to lovers trope in Primetime though so them #1 fits.

I've only watched some of these shows: 1. Gossip Girl - I don't even remember those two ending up in a relationship - very forgettable. 2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer - they were a great pairing but not romantically. 3. The Nanny - Niles and CC was a jumping the shark moment that never should have happened. 4. Cheers - Sam and Diane were great but I didn't miss them when she left and we got Rebecca.
