I heard some animatronic fans say that the reason kids stopped looking at the animatronics was because of the fact that they were relegated to being mere side show attractions. The animatronics were the very reasons why Chuck E. Cheese stood out amongst all other pizza place. Once the animatronics go extinct along with whatever magic it brought, CEC will just be another pizza place. Which is ironic to say the least. CEC used to have an old slogan that said "Without magic, it's just another pizza place."

i think it's also bc it's honestly not impressive anymore. now, i love any animatronic and CEC holds a very special place in my heart but if we're being honest animatronic figures just don't have that WOW! factor anymore since anybody can make them with minimal coding knowledge and new age programming, that's how people are able to reprogram old animatronics and how people create their own FNAF animatronics at home. when Showbiz Pizza and CEC was first introduced it was a pretty impressive concept that just hasn't held up over the years. same goes for other things like CGI.

The king is back. They stopped producing king animatronics in 1985, a very good man found the remaining King Animatronics and redesigned them into something better. There's one animatronic that was a king animatronic which turned into an Endo skeleton named four.

Sometimes while i was eating the pizza there, i would just stare at the animatronics and i would zone out from the conversation i was in. I never liked the idea of a dance floor that much though (socal anxiety always prevented me from dancing or presenting infront of others). Whats your opinion on the animatronics/dance floor?

yeah i think thats the same with very other kid and i think it was a bad idea to get rid of the animations because you don have to be in front of everybody you can watch from your seat or walk up to the stage the thing that sucks is that before they got rid of the animations at my location the already had the "cool dance floor" and then like 2 years later the stage was gone replaced with a wall with old band RIP munches make believe band

When I was a kid, we only had one animatronic, Chuck E himself. All the kids would surround him, and never the dance floor. I went back recently, and noticed that the kids cared more about the games than Chuck E. Even more than in the past. It’s really a shame… I miss the good old days, haha.

Fun fact! Wilmington nc closed in 2020/21 and munch jr was sold to a private collector. 1 year later, in pineville nc, in 2022, munch jr is brought back in a new look. The new can kind of looks like a bucket and munch jr is missing his propeller cap. Stay glad cec fans!

This right here is the video that got me into Chuck E. Cheese’s as a whole. This will sound extremely corny, but I cannot thank you enough for even making this. I wouldn’t have met the people I have today and had as much fun as I have had in recent years, proud to say that CEC is a special interest of mine and has been for 7 whole years now. I was a kid with unrestricted internet access for the most part, and stumbling across your CEC videos really awakened something in me. My biological dad used to take me to Chuck E. Cheese’s all the time, he’s no longer with us (he left because he’s a loser tbh) and this small series of videos really got me through it. CEC saved me, your videos saved me. Rewatching this 7 years later feels unreal. I’m finally seeing Pizzacam for the first time in a few weeks, I’ve seen the rock-afire explosion perform countless times now, and I’m so so happy to say that my special interest has changed me for the better. Foxy Colleen, Sally, Mr. Munch, Billy Bob, later 80's Chuck E., and The King (Elvis) animatronics would be amazing to own. But to also restore and maybe give them new homes where they'd never get tossed. I wish I had the job and money to own (mostly) the King animatronic. He is very adorable and I've looked up to that animatronic (literally) the past several years.
