Hello! I just wanted to thank you for introducing our family to Sherrif of Nottingham. We have 2 boys, 5 and 8, and they love it. We tried it out at a board game café, and they immediately wanted a home version. My recommendation for you is 5 minute dungeon. It's my youngest's favourite game. We play without the timer. I find the game is challenging enough without trying to beat the clock. There's an expansion that is worth it, but not mandatory. My Lil' Everdell is also great, but the 5 year old doesn't quite grasp engine building yet. My 8 year old loves it. Azul is also fun, but skews older. The 5 year old enjoys tile drafting, but lacks any foresight for turns ahead. The game can get quite cutthroat. Project L is a polynomial game that my 5 year old loves. 8 y/o and mom don't care for the style of game, but I do, so check it out. You draft pieces and complete puzzles. Thanks again for your list.

That’s awesome to hear! We more than likely will be picking up 5 minute dungeon soon. My lil Everdell is more deep than it seems on the surface. I’m glad though that kids can start to grasp the idea of worker placement with this one. Azul is no joke lol. We actually just played Project L the first time 2 months ago and it’s such a great polyomino title. Thank you for the comment! 😊

Good list. Everdell is our favorite family game, ourselves. We have the big box expansion collection.

I enjoy your channel! Just a suggestion.. maybe go back and forth on who (mostly) explains the game so that you arent talking over each other as much. Love hearing both view points for sure and its important to let the other person share their thoughts. I love games so i def understand its hard to hold onto thoughts when your excited to share but i just find it little jarring how often it switches back and forth. I think the brothers murph channel does this well. Just helps it feel more fluent if one person takes the lead on the bulk of explaining a game and then discussion comes after from both sides. All the love and keep up the great content!

This is the most positive constructive feedback we have had and we actually were thinking of this just the other day! Thank you so so much for the critique. We definitely appreciate it more than you know and yes we agree how the Brothers Murph do a great job of being descriptive without talking over one another. Thanks for being awesome!!! 😁😁😁

Excellent video, I have been enjoying your videos. The two games I like to teach for my family games are Lost Cities the Board Game and Adventureland.

Thanks! Yeah I suppose being lied to by and to your family may not be the best for some families. 😅 The reason we chose it is because it’s easy to learn and play for almost anyone.

Just me personally would never play or buy Pandemic. The sheer word is so negatively engrained in my head cos of what the Australian Govt did to us during that time, the absolute last thing I want is a reminder of that BS and time period. It is cos of that, that has sped me up to leave this country and move to Europe to be with my wife.....she was supposed to come here and we did a 180. The other game is Ticket to Ride. I work on the trains so the last thing I want is a game that reminds me of my job, as I spend enough time there already....yeah, nah thanks. I have yet boxed away since I am in the process of moving, Mysterium and Cascadia....they look really nice. One game I can't wait to play with my 8yo Granddaughter is...Once Upon a Time. I see her jumping up and down after each game screaming out...Granddad, can we play that again :-)

Yeah we can totally understand how Pandemic can be a turnoff for some folks. And that completely makes sense about Ticket to Ride haha. Definitely check out Cascadia. Its simplicity and beautiful artwork and gameplay is a straight 10/10.
