These men are artisans. They have fantastic vision and coordination. The Pommells were also art. I think some of the knive styles are much to large though. Beautiful but huge. They kinda look like a novelty. Most knives sold to sportsman ate in the 4" or so The chefs knife was awesome. I think it was maybe the fourth one made. The guys who sharpen the knives are also artists. They do great work. That axe they made made me salivate. These are not cheap knives by any stretch of the imagination. The manufacturing is of the highest order. The meat cleavers snd the small blade knife near the end are my favorite. I think you can do without the soda bottle demonstration. Super stuff.

You are very skilled and hard working men, but there are hazards that can be mitigated to prevent physical injuries. Loose clothing can easily be caught by spinning machinery, damage to hearing can be prevented by use of earplugs or earmuffs. Earplugs are economical because they can be easily cleaned. Eye protection should also be used to prevent eye injuries. Companies should either provide theses items or make them available at an affordable cost. Thanks for the most interesting videos.

I don't think that railroad steel is hard enough to be so brittle that full blade hardening can be a problem, even if 0,8%C can exist. More over if as I guess, that it is actually by oil quenching. Excuse me for my poor English.

I have seen hundreds of these videos. They work day and night in these workshops. It is their bread and butter. But they never make a floor for their work place. It is always bear soil . I don’t know why

Schwache Angeln trocken geschliffen bis zum teilweise zum ausglühen , beim Damastschmieden wurde der Zunder nicht entfernt und mit eingearbeitet wenn die Klingen haltbar sind Ok die Ergebnisse sahen zumindest gut aus😊

I guess i am a purist.. if you aren't going to forge it from hand, then it really isn''t a very good knife. you had me for a minute on the 2nd forging where they were doing Damascus, but then it went to heck. i appreciate the skill, but its just not near as good. it reminds me of something i could buy at Walmart, which i wouldn't. I respect the skill that these guys have.

That is very true. I am a pathologist. I have seen lungs destroyed by industrial dust. Mostly coal and asbestos here.

Wow, what a mess, they make knives and blades out of cheap structural steel, no wonder the quality of these cheap knives is so bad. They use the undersides of T-beams, i.e. the simplest structural steel ST37 or something, ridiculous and absolutely unsuitable for knives and blades because there is almost no carbon in them.
