I actually really like using Shulk and having him on Rex so I can farm level 4 blade specials and hear Shulk scream "THIS IS THE MONADO'S POWER! CLEAR OUR PATH! TO THE FUTURE! HAAAAAAH!" with all of the power in his larynx, for it to be immediately followed up by Rex's lowercase "you're gonna break"

Once you get Poppi QT Pi, you have Break and Launch, alpha has Topple and QT has Smash. Which means that Tora can do the entire Driver Combo by Himself, which is crazy.

For me, Tora will always be the MVP of my Xenoblade 2 journey. Dude saved me from the final boss by tanking his instakill and reviving everyone to continue the fight. He will always have my respect.

Also just love his relationship with Rex. Rex feels like a big brother to him and it's clear Rex means a lot to Tora. I get why people have problems with him (and admittedly I get frustrated with Japan for forcing in pervy moments into a TWELVE YEAR OLD, MONOLITH!!) but still he's one of my favorite characters in the series.

Fantastic video! I've watched a bunch of your videos in the past week so far and I love your passion and how articulately you're able to express yourself. I made my own list here, not counting story blades because they have an unfair advantage imo. 1. Crossette - I adored her from the start. VERY strong and her interactions with Pyra and later Mythra are pretty priceless. 2. Herald - THE COOLEST!!! The build-up to getting her is sooo well done and she has an amazing quest. 3. Kasandra - Incredibly endearing, great lore and blade quest. 4. Adenine - Another blade design I love with a unique motivation. I got her really early (I think she was the first rare blade I got in the gacha) so she was a major part of my first playthrough. 5. Agate - One of the few blade designs I just LOVE, and I thought her motivation was unusual and cool. 6. Corvin - Adorable little boy scout (also insanely strong, like I felt like it was cheating to use him strong). A character wielding dual swords who's associated with crows is basically A Character For Me, and the fact that he's a really nice guy provides a nice contrast. 7. Ursula - WE ARE... URSULA'S NEW GROOVE! No seriously, that quest is over-hated. She's so sweet and kind and I loved her determination even in the face of shyness. Getting that final cutscene made the quest worth it. 8. KOS-MOS - I love the accomplishment of getting her and robots are cool. 9. Wulfric - I also love my big guy. 10. Electra - Much like yours, this is not a usefulness tier list haha. She's just so cute and tries so hard! I loved that DLC quest where she tries to help the other fighter blades out. Shulk is one of my favorite video game characters of all time (and Dimitri too - you got good taste :D) but not based on this game, yanno?

That's what I love about this game. There's so many blades that have cool and interesting designs that there's so many options for people to pick. In addition to the ones on your list I also really love T-ELOS and all the NG+ Torna blade like Patroka, Akhos, and Mikhail. And there's so many more too

So if I understand correctly, Pyra/Mythra in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 function similarly in Smash where Mythra can build-up more damage, but Pyra can unleash deadlier finishing blows?

Pretty much, Mythra's attacks are weaker overall but they combo into eachother much easier so most people stick to her most of the time. Pyra's attacks can be risky since they're so slow, so most people only switch to her at high percents

@@MGL1106 you’re right, Mythra tends to be straight up stronger and she is straight up stronger in canon. Pyra has niches with fusion combos but that’s about it.

Perdido is quite underrated; because of battle skills, you end up dealing over 4.5X Auto-Attack than his actual rate, plus Aux Core setup. Melts bosses rediculously quick; just got to keep the user being targeted because of dumb Def. stats and his high damage Auto-Attack constantly grabs the bosses attention.

I feel like he often gets overshadowed by the other Torna blades, but I've seen what he can do and he looks very interesting!

In my first playthrough of the game, I pulled Kos-Mos right before the Malos/Akhos fight in chapter 3. I used her to sweep through the whole game after that. I ended up not finishing that playthrough and leaving it for a few years before just restarting, but that’ll always be one of my fondest memories with this game.

My Top 5: 1st:Pneuma(I love her so much,She is the best in everyway and i will cherish her) 2nd:Roc(This dude really is a classic Birb Moment,plus he can fill up the party guage really fast) 3rd:Nia(Her Healing is so good,she carried me during when i don't Have Pythra) 4th:Wulfric(really good Utility in Fields) 5th:Pythra(Not as Strong as Pneuma but it makes the job done most of the time when i don't have Pneuma)

Nia as driver is good being an attacker; equipped with Either Cannon blades because of higher Either stats.

She can get good ether damage yes, but all other weapons use her strength which is still mediocre and her attacking speed with most weapons, including ether cannons, is also slower meaning that she'll do less damage over time. In terms of damage she's seen as the worst for a reason

My usual team is Rex (with Mythra, Fiora, and Elma), Zeke (with Kos-mos, Pandy, and Corvin), and Tora (doing about what you'd expect of a post game Tora lol). I'd say my favorite overall might go to Corvin, with Kos-mos, Mythra, QT pi, and Fiora in order as runner ups. My favorite choice usually depends on the situation though.

Your Godfrey is my Perun. For the longest time, I didn't know Perun wasn't that well regardless, but she worked out really well in my team. She pulled through in the toughest of situations in my first playthrough. Well, that, and booba. Honestly, if I had to guess, everyone got pretty attached to their very first Blade in the same manner.

Mythra being based around crits with the massive crit chance, crit heal, and art recharge on crit made her unstoppable and carried me through fights in both runs of the game I've done. That and the story around her in Torna and 2 are just 🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌

I never really understand the point to make a top X list or a tier list of the content creator's favourite blades. At the end of the day, this kind of list is entirely subjective, and I can't imagine everyone really caring what other people liked or disliked - it wouldn't really influence my choices anyway. I think the only tier list that makes sense is using more objective criteria - best overall, best chain attacker, best for driver combos, best level X specials, etc. Those kind of list would be more interesting and actually useful if they were correct. I do like the personality commentary, but I gotta wonder if a top 10 worse blades list would have been better. You could still have the godfrey section as the script is written, but it would also be informative too.
