In South Africa we have an author who is basically the South African James Patterson... Instead of Alex Cross we have Benny Griessel. I like his books because it's very fact based and realistic for a fiction story. Deon Meyer

I live in the States and I discovered Deon Meyer around 2008 with Blood Safari, then read everything I could find by him. Great writer, fascinating country.

Loved The Bourne Identity, not so much The Da Vinci Code that to me seems heavily based on The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail published in 1982.

Yes, yes Anik! And since he has recommended so many alpha type characters...how about Robert Crais' Joe Pike/Elvis Cole novels, and Greg Hurwitz's 'Orphan X' books? Do you have any other similar Authors recommendations?
@tristangiblin4373 Жыл бұрын
@@thinking6307 Hello Thinking, I thought Orphan X was great and would like to recommend The Hit by Allen Zadoff, first of the Boy Nobody trilogy. It is admittedly a YA novel but quite mature considering the target audience and as a 35 year old I found it very accessible and couldn't put it down. It also fits well within The Nowhere Man universe as it tells the story of a teenager trained as an assassin by a secret government agency and the character feels very much like the younger less experienced Evan Smoak, while reading it was impossible not to (plus very fun to) imagine I was was reading a prequel to The Nowhere Man books!
@tristangiblin4373 Жыл бұрын
@@thinking6307 I would also like to recommend The Hunter by Tom Wood, The Accident Man by Tom Cain and The Gray Man by Mark Greaney, all are the first books of continuing series that I very enthusiastically recommend to Orphan X fans! Greetings from Australia.
