The problem with this process is that cutting from a large group until left with a smaller one gives different results than picking out a small group of standouts from the large group. It's a subtle difference in logic at work.

This is always fun! I'm glad the ankylosaurus made it to the top 10. It's probably my favorite dinosaur as well. Boba fett getting eliminated is sacrilege in this channel. Won't be surprised if it comes back for the final top 10 lol. I wish i could've had a better look at all the figures that were getting eliminated. Two bad and whiplash are definitely in my top motu figures this year. I'm surprised the target exclusive black widow wasn't even on here.

I think the reason it’s so hard is you are judging each figure on it own. By using a representative figure from a line, you are giving a figure extra juice due to the line. This is a more honest figure selection!

Picking top 10 figures for 2023 is very hard. So many awesome figures. My top 10 is completely different and like most it is constantly changing. I do have Spiral on my list. She is the only Marvel figure I have. I do not collect Marvel figures but Spiral is a cool character, I love the concept and design.

I used to keep everything I purchased due to a mix of fear that I might need it later and laziness to deal with buyers, but I'm at a point where I am literally out of storage space. Looking at the volume of figures in that first shot, it looks like you must also have boxes of figures just piling up. What kind of velocity does your collection have in terms of turn over?

In recent years it's rare that I get rid of a figure from that year because I'm more careful about what I purchase. When I reorganized what I have on display (kzbin.info/www/bejne/hIS9qnuHgJabeKMsi=_9LAxBzfTi3B0mTK) I also instituted a rule that I would only purchase a new figure if it was actually going to be part of my current display. So everything in this video was on my shelves and, after I shot this video, went right back on my shelves. For the most part, it's older stuff that I'm moving on from as new stuff comes in.

Clawful and Buzz Off are actual MOTU figures, the blue and orange guy is a Cosmic Legions figure that is a tribute figure to Man E Faces (he comes with 3 different heads robot, monster and human). The big green dragon guy is also a Cosmic Legions figure but he's a tribute to Whiplash.

I only recently started watching Secret Galaxy and these supplemental Dan Larson videos, but they are a lot of fun. I must say, though, there is so much more pain and so much less information in this video that it seems weirdly out of step with the other quarterly best-of videos that I've watched. I haven't re-watched it to double check, but I think that there are actually figures that made the top 10 for which you provide little to no information. That just seems off. It could easily just be me, but did you name the big dragon looking guy? I know it would be a huge amount of work for you, but perhaps a simple list of the names of the figures added to each quarter's video in the description would help. Interested viewers could then search for information without needing to post a comment asking for clarification about that one figure, you know the one, third from the right, toward the back, kind of translucent silver... And I just pulled that description off the top of my head, it wasn't meant to refer to an actual placement in the video so please don't anyone stress trying to figure out to which figure it might refer.
