My wife is mixed Chinese-Japanese-Filipino mixed. Her Mother is half Chinese-Filipino and father is half Japanese-Filipino and she can speak 8 languages and graduated several courses. I'm British-Syrian and we're living in the UK for almost 19 years of our lives. She's the most loving, patient and a very good cook better than mine. I worked as a Sous Chef, but when it comes for cooking, my wife cooks delicious meals all the time without recipes to follow. We're married for 12 years. I'm grateful to have her not just only my wife, companion and better half but best of all, she's my soul mate.❤❤❤

I remember what Gen. Mc Arthur say “Give me 10K Filipino Soldiers and I will conquer the World” . However its just a figure of speech , he just recognized the Filipinos worth in a battle. But when it comes to Filipino workers abroad whatever small job required for us as long as we can provide food in the table for our family we happily do our job, that's how we love our family so no matter what they say I am proud to be Pinoy

Gen. Douglas MacArthur left the Philippines when the USAFFE (composed of American and Filipino soldiers) was defeated by the Japanese Imperial Army in Bataan and Corregidor. He had more than 10K Filipino soldiers under his command at that time (more than 50K if I'm not mistaken) but failed to defend the Philippines from Japanese invasion. His "figure of speech" did not match his track record. But in fairness to him, He fulfilled his promise to return and defeated the Japanese Imperial Army with the help of Filipino guerrillas. But the decisive victory over the Empire of Japan had nothing to do with him and his "10K Filipino soldiers". It was the atomic bombs that did it. (I am proud of our soldiers but Gen. MacArthur should not have exaggerated his capabilities out of respect for our soldiers whom he left in Bataan and Corregidor and died in the Death March even if it was just a figure of speech).

Those 10 celebrities made me think that they are really insecure about our race because Filipinos have lots of good traits rather than them. How Susan Mayer said that, even though the writer wrote it, it's really almost the same with the education standard abroad? The writer needs lots of research. Filipinos are everywhere... There are lots of diplomats, professionals, and non-professionals abroad that make our country well and beautiful. That's why they need us Filipinos because they couldn't do what we can do... The brains of Filipinos have high IQs, we can make things possible from impossibility. We are a part of your country. We provide really nice and honest service... We help you with things you are weak at. Be thankful we are here. The disparities of people in my country make us think smartly and do things skillfully and perfectly without asking for help from you despite your rudeness. @@tinkabell2270 yes though i just know those things coz i have some Chinese friends from China itself and i studied in a Chinese school so i learned it from them thats why they invented a lot of skin whitening that are more affordable coz if they live in China themselves theres some discrimination going on there coz at first i thought all Chinese people are lighter skin tone but they say most of Chinese people in China who work in the farm and fishing like my friend are brownish than the yellowish or white Chinese we often see. Dan Brown is the author of the controversial Da Vinci Code (Made into a movie starring Tom Hanks) and the equally controversial Angels and Demons. Despite the controversy, both novels became bestsellers with millions of copies sold. Also with Lucy Liu, (most Malaysians, Indonesians and Filipinos does share almost the same color, so why pinpoint just Filipinos?) Meanwhile, In 1998, the City of Manila declared Claire Danes as persona non grata.

His books are controversial because he writes propaganda and manipulation, and not with good quality. Books, movies, music with bad quality sell quite much. It's commercial, people doesn't apreciate good quality

You are so amazing Bro,you’re so fair and have a very wide understanding of those bad criticisms thrown against with my fellow Filipinos by those celebrities who don’t have any idea or a full knowledge about our Country the Philippines and the people. What I would say to those critics is just look at your own self first in the mirror before judging others!!

Hello Ovela. Jay Leno's comment on being barefoot, carrying wooden crosses, and whipping their backs is actually a form of a penance during Holy Week. It has been a practice for so many years now in certain parts of our country as part of our religion. That is why he mentioned the coloring of eggs, pertaining to Easter Sunday. I am really enjoying your channel. 😊

Speaking from experience, in my travels around Asia, I only feel a little snobbery and discrimination when I was visiting HK mainly because most Filipinos in HK are domestic helpers but they look prettier and can speak better English more than ordinary citizens. But it's more from the blue collar workers...maybe there is a bit of jealousy there.....just my thoughts.

As a Filipino, we are raised to be respectful, responsible and loving people. Honestly, we are not affected with the side comments of the bully people because we know for a fact that they are not happy with their own lives. At the end of the day, what matter most is that, how we care, love and be love.

Filipino here from Baguio City. Lived in London for 4 decades or so and now back here in the Philippines. London is a beautiful city maybe best city in the world and learned a lot living there. but my heart is with Baguio City and fortunate enough to be back under certain circumstance. I really care what these famous people are saying but what matters is that why are many Koreans investing with properties here in the Philippines if it's a dump country not just Koreans, Chinese have always been here not to mention other individuals who made Philippines their own✌🏾❤️

I think why those people just looked down Filipinos despite that Filipino isn't the only race who has the darkest skin tone or having the poorest economy is just because They are jealous and envy. Why? Cause Filipinos are so versatile, Filipinos can speak English very well, they can easily change their accent depending on their environment, highly adapatable in every situations, Filipinos is really good at their jobs, their skin tone makes them possible to walk under the heat of the sun without being look like a tomatoes from being a raddish that is the skin color that most of the Western celebrities trying to achieve by sunbathing, and most of all Filipinos are highly educated despite of not so huge economy ...

I remember my husband's narrative about his former colleague's manager who's about to choose (after an interview) between two equally skilled airline applicants. This said manager was advised by his co-manager who happened to work previously with the two candidates. His advice was to choose the Filipino over the other one (same Asian which I'd rather not disclose) because he said, same good workers but different work ethics. The Filipino gets the work done even beyond his working hours while the other will definitely leave his workplace when his shift is over.

Sorry, I don't entertain most of these negative comments. Don't compare Philippines to Western Country. We are Philippines we have different cultures, different way of living. But most Filipinos are happy because we are contented simple life. We are contented to reside a small netive shelter, that why less of homeless here. One of proof that we are bet happy here? No issue of mass killing due to depress emotion, not just in your place so rampant. Philippines have lots of Natural Beauty and Vibrant scenery, different tourist spot to offer, best beaches in the world and the happiest and accommodating people in the World. Come and visit the Philippines I assure you the most happiest, the great experience ever in your life❤.

Philippines is a paradise. I can't compare my country to any countries in the worĺd although there is a beautiful country that I admire because of what the people are experiencing specially in their education and support that's why even their prison is beauiful and good but I enjoy being with Filipinos. Many are obedient to God who don't want to harm others to enjoy His blessings.

All this ideas these celebrities have about the Philippines is usually from some news or articles and they GENERALIZE that the whole country is like that , yes there are bad sectors but that isn't the whole picture of the country. What Jay Leno said is a Filipino tradition during Holy Week where some people repent for their sins by carrying crosses he should first check what our culture is about. Its sad just because we are a developing country we are undermined and judged poorly by richer countries. You're right when you said they should EXPERIENCE the country and its people first before making any judgements, don't judge a book by its cover
