Thank you for the objective talk you made on the subject. The question on whether are we (not just Filipinos, but all other ethnicities as well) are being too sensitive about other people poking fun at identities, culture, and abilities of those different from them. Yes. we are and we should be. In this day and age, everyone needs to be vigilant about it. Little inputs can actually be used to justify hating and bullying and that needs to be checked. Not to say that we explode in anger every time. My point is to be careful and attuned to what is being said or done to the detriment of others and be able to call it out responsibly and with courage.

Yes, Filipinos are active on social media. We actually also react with any fellow Filipino whether a celebrity or an ordinary person. Maybe we just don't want to tolerate bad behavior as much as we can. Esp. the young generation nowadays, not to forget good manners. Sometimes, being rude can reflect to own family.... and we don't want to feel that way. I think that is why we always call out or take action when we think that there is something wrong.
