Also defender character nodes unlock fairly early in campaign, easily accessible to newer players. S6 is most likely gonna be stuck onto the end of a campaign mode. Ive been playing for a year im just about to finish mystic. Just because its in campaign doesnt mean its for newer players.

New players need to get a raid team up and running first. Defenders are good, Guardians are good. I would definitely start out with Defenders to Gear 9 or 10. The Defenders work great with only 2 yellow abilities invested: Iron Fist passive and JJ basic. I still use them for U6 and they can do pretty much my entire lane on auto (G12). The long farms for Block Party final tier will take a lot of time. In the meanwhile, they should be farming Groot, as it's the slowest farm of the Guardians team. This team should be pumped with as much gear as you want (at least on Rocket, Groot and Star Lord). This team can get you around Top 100 in arena too even in very old shards. The hardest part for new people is going to be getting Minn Erva, but there is nothing that can be done about that I guess. Guardians will help you beat the cosmic campaign. Rocket and Punisher are excellent for the crucial blaster challenge. Sinister 6 will be a very useful team early on, but again, it has a few very slow farms (Green Goblin and we don't even know where Shocker will be), so there is absolutely no reason to rush the other components of the team. This should probably be your third team.

new F2P players should get defenders for the T3 then T4 mats of the hero city monthly event. with MM you will have a solid team for all raids (bio, defenders, city). they also are needed for the gold challenge. guy the 900 credits raid orb, in the long run is far far better, those raid toons should set the pace of your toon shards campaing farming. always buy any 72K gold gear in the regular store and always the 1000 war credits for the orange gear in the war store.

sinister six lack a healer and defenders have iron fist, so sinister six are not something new players want to go for at the start, although if you are going for guardians as your raid team then sinister six are great, but you will need a raid team like guardians or defenders

I think it's an oversight and perhaps forgetting that the new players have to actually progress in their campaigns to be able to gear their characters to suggest Sinister Six. The thing about Sinister 6 is that it does cure the issue new players have of basically having to farm terrible non-synergizing teams for their Villains campaign when they hit a wall and have to grow/gear their Defenders. Instead of having to use some jank like Bullseye/Yondu/Crossbones/Nebula or something, they can go for Sinister 6. They're also overlooking that you need RAID credits to get Mysterio, and you're not gonna get that reliably without a raid team. Defenders is a raid team. Defenders will be needed, but the difference is that they won't be needed for nearly as long which is great. Right now players are rolling Defenders until level 70, 150k-ish power and stuff and that's an insane amount of time to spend playing one team in virtually all modes. Also, they recommend Ms. Marvel saying you can unlock her early on and lol, you can't. Mystic 2-6 is a pretty challenging node and you need to actually have Mystic characters for that. You can't really "farm Ms. Marvel early on" if you need to have Scarlet Witch, Mordo, etc. at like a 20k-ish power level just to 3 star her node.

defenders before legendary any day. in my opinion it should go Defenders to 4 stars. Daredevil should be first to 5 stars from Arena. after that you can farm 2 shards a day of defenders. stop after you get 2. buy rest of guardians from the shop so you can prepare for Star-Lord. theyre really easy to get to 5 minus Groot. then you have two really good teams. then you can work on Kree while you wait for star-lord event.

im not sure i agree with this as a player that has been playing for 7 months i would suggest going for defenders first then guardians followed by kree that way u cover most of the content as Sinister 6 while good is not priority the same with legendaries u need the basics first then branch off your roster from there (Also hero brawlers aren't a bad shout as there easy to farm)

Trevor, so glad you included MM on the list! A great thing about her too is she unlocks at 15 shards, so 1 premium orb and you have the team base going. I dont think S6 is the beginner team to go for. Sure you get TWO Legendaries, but they really dont help other teams. Star-Lord, Fury, and Magneto are pretty good in all teams in all modes. Wakandans and we have no idea what the future F4/Namor farms will be like, are really more difficult. Plus Wakandans arent good anyways currently. Defenders do better. So why camp for 2 "uselsss" Legendaries. Plus, my conspiracy theory is that the reason Shuri hasnt come back is FoxNext is going to change her requirements. Youll need non-S6 SpiderVerse to unlock her, so you wont get 2-for-1.

Nope I still suggest Defenders for beginners for a few reasons. You need a team to get you through the Heroes and Nexus campaigns, and raids for gear. They're also good for the Gold challenge (which is one of the biggest bottlenecks in this game) and Block Party. As for arena, Sinister 6 may be better but Defenders can still hold their own against them. I think this is pretty poor advice to be honest

Lending support to the Defenders for newbies due to the long-term impact they have. Given the farming locations for Defenders compared to just about anything else, Defenders are all available super early in the game and don't require Raid access. Iron Fist is the last one to unlock at the end of Nexus Chapter 1, which is relatively easy. Groot isn't available until the end of Nexus Chapter 2, which is a little more difficult to get to. While development focus might not be quite as critical for Defenders as it was before, they are still important early on for Block Party and the ability material challenge. While yes, Guardians will get you further into the late game, building a core with Defenders at the start will get you to the late game faster.

I like that there is a good villain team (sinister six) I would recommend them later in the game.I would still recommend defenders first for new players. Unlocking IW and shuri as a newer player isn’t that useful right away they are both in late game teams like wakanda takes so much orange mats to be good. Where as defenders help you get the ability mats from the event and gold from challenges, and the early campaigns. I still use my defenders in raids as well and my Jessica Jones is in fear of the darkness so overall defenders are still more useful for a first team to farm for new players in my opinion. I would say defenders first then Kree for nick fury, cosmic and villain campaigns Guardians are always great I would farm them third. Great video though I found it interesting keep up the great work.

Defenders are a good raids team, and you need to be good in raids to get ability mats, maybe guardians + yondu are a better choice now that mantis is avialable, but S6 has no sustentability in raids

You forgot to tell them to go hard on Yondu since he's easier to farm than Rocket for the Star Lord event. Not only that but he's usable in the Villain, Cosmic, and Mystic campaigns. Mrs. Marvel most players won't be able to farm until they are lvl 60+ as she is pretty deep in the Mystic campaign.

They aren’t particularly strong and won’t get you anything but two characters if you farm extremely aggressively. Defenders will get you way further in the long run. Get them first. Sinister Six have no survivability as of yet. Just a team to hide premier characters behind.

Star lord unlocks relatively easy, yondu, farmable from early game, blitz orbs, mantis, gamora, and ravager boomer, I’ve been playing 120 days just under and been buying blitz orbs and I’m under 40 shards for each character at 5 stars. The last one is groot again has a node, I’ve just got the blitz ones to get.

Bob I’m not saying they’re bad. They definitely have their place. They do very well against a handful of teams. It’s just the negatives outweigh the positives. They’re not raid viable. That will hurt for ability matts and raid credits. Also people lose sight of how important arena is. Everyone that I know that went heavy for arena early on is waaaaay better off now for it. In the time it’s gonna take a new player to unlock GG node they are gonna be so far behind in arena that they will never catch up and that will hurt them. Yes it looks like FF will be awesome in AW but how will they farm everyone besides IW? Not to mention new players watching this video right now... are they realistically gonna be able to be ready for shuri and IW in one month? Most definitely not. Then who knows how long before they come around again? So now they have a mediocre- pretty good team depending on the matchup(okay even sometimes great depending on the matchup) . They can’t even start playing war until what? Level 50 or 60 making FF useless for a couple months, but oh yeah how are they gonna farm them anyhow. Well Wakanda can help them in raid but how are they gonna farm kilmonger? Meanwhile guardians and starlord are taking a back seat which is a huge mistake. And now they have pieces of teams that aren’t really gonna help them out and they’re at the bottom of the curve of those they joined w at the same time. Meanwhile those who went heavy on defenders are probably top 250 if not higher in arena. Getting tons of pc and arena credits. Working their way up to abilities matts, raid viable, starlord in sight(a huge top 5 toon), t4 in sight through block party. Again they’re not bad, but they need to be worried about waaay later on down the line. Lastly the comment about MM? Mystic 2-6?? He’s totally 100% wrong. That’s a very hard node to get to. FTP would be lucky to unlock it in first 6 months if that. So all in all I’m not trying to be a jerk here I just really feel(along I might add w 90% of everyone else here) that this video is really bad advice and it will be detrimental to the progress of the new ftp player and that’s kind of not cool. I mean I know there’s no I’ll will or anything like that but still you know

I disagree with you on this one OhEmGee You need defenders for ULTIMUS RAIDS, defenders have HEALS+REGENERATION even good at ULTIMUS 6, if you farm SIN6 they can only last 1 Mission in Ultimus6 cause they lacks healers. You also need Defenders for BLOCK PARTY MISSION. Free to play players should farm Defenders first to 5 star tier 12. Remember UltimusRaids are the key for skill upgrade.

spend on (good enough) versatile toons that could be used on different campaigns/modes, example: yondu helps you with mystic and cosmic campaign + starlord unlock. unlock campaign nodes and farm the ones that gives 2 purple gears (1 may be needed right now, the other will be always needed in the future). buy ABCs on the regular store (120k or 240k gold. dont farm them). use gear on defenders.

It's all about raids. Ultimus raids will get you ability mats and blue and purple gear raid orbs that will help you power them up fast. Hopefully you are in an Alliance that can do at least ultimus 5.

Get the free energy at noon, 6pm, and 9pm. Do all the challenges and events that you can. Even tho they said not to, get a good defender team, they'll help alot with that. Also, join a real alliance asap, get out of the starter guild. Once you start doing raids you'll get plenty of ability mats.

Guys I watch your videos all the time and am always thoroughly entertained but I gotta say this is a mistake. New free to play players should not be worrying about sinister 6 or shuri/IW for a long time. If they take this route it will hurt their progress. DEFENDERS are still completely viable and very important to staying high up in arena(it’s rewards will accelerate their growth). New players should go as heavy on defenders as they can with eyes towards guardians/starlord as their second team.

Defenders are still better team overall, only advantage of sinister six is that they unlock 2 legendaries.

My question is, s6 gets 2 legendaries surely sweet, but are those 2 beneficial to new players? still need other wakanda and f4 members to maximize their potentials, some still unfarmable yet.
