I was doing that at first, but there is a lot more to say. For example, if your team don't have much squishy characters, you can put the tank more in the middle, so the chains only hit 3 characters in average instead of 4-5. I love to keep Rocket on the side. My line-up is : Groot, Star-Lord, Minn-Erva, Thanos and Rocket. Star-Lord gives energy to GOTG weither they are close or not and I like having Groot ready to dispel debuff at anytime. Rocket does his Ultimate 75% of the time with that line-up, so that's fine with me.

I would really never put a tank in the middle regardless unless they have sort of ability like Rhino. But hey that’s the what’s great, we can disagree and still be buds.

Wow, really interesting and helpful! I was placing all my tanks in the middle because I figured that's were the AI starts hitting in the beginning (or that's what my AI does anyway). I need to try this asap, thanks for the tip!

Ok so I tried this and I'm not sure it works for me yet. Aren't you setting yourself up for a huge blowup since you're placing your squishiest characters right next to each other? Tanks will lose their taunt and then your damage dealers are gone with one AoE. The way I was doing my ordering was like this: 2 of my squishiest characters at the opposite far sides so if I lose one I most likely still have the other one, tank in the middle and the two that can take some damage next to tank each side. This might be suboptimal but at the level I am (total collection 400k) it seems to work little bit better. Need to test more.

That’s interesting. I haven’t really thought at all about them being too squishy. I can’t imagine that will be a lasting issue.

Idk, for me Arena defense doesnt matter at all. Sometimes i get 1. place than next day i fall back to 30. The problem is on offense everyone can beat everyone in the top 20 at least

I was looking forward for video like this. Probably, you can make one more like this, with more theory crafted teams, that would be really interesting. But this basic stuff is good. I have heard some of these from other cont.creat. videos about rosters, but still. Good content Combs.

Yeah I wanted to make sure to get the basic principles out so that way you can just apply them to your own teams, that way it’s not just a very specific set of teams but rather a few examples and the info to carry yourself forward. For BH, placing Mystique next to Juggs also make sense, because she is the least important member and can gain both stealth and evade.

Maki Zermalias I heard a while back Red Skull was possible for October. It was one of these wigwams. Not combs he was a wee lad in the game at that time. Think it was a Khasino vid back when they tossed “the FOXNEXT apologist” a bone from time to time with his on site sources. This was better part of a year ago thou. With the AIM team in this video, I'd swap Sec and Researcher. That way Sec will get use out of her adjacent heal (Since she is healing adjacents, you don't need to worry as much about splash hits. Researcher doesn't benefit from the offense up like sec will, and doesn't have an adjacent skill, since hers recenters itself around whoever is weakest. It also means she may be able to draw chains her way, ending them short instead of spreading across the party.

Hey man I just started playing last month and i don’t know what I should be doing. I’ve seen videos saying to unlock all the Defenders, I have Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist. 20 shards away from getting Daredevil. What should I be focusing? The campaigns?

You need Punisher as well! Yeah just focus on campaigns and doing what you can in regular raids. Arena is important but hard at lower levels.

One of my favourite teams is (in order of placement): Sentry, Wasp, Deadpool, Cable, Ant-Man. It has the basic principle of tank on one end and squishiest on the other end, but by putting Wasp next to Sentry, you’re likely getting her dodge off early, then he applies stealth and more dodge to her. You can get 2, 3, even 4 stuns in one match sometimes. Really fun team that I recommend.

You forgot to mention that Fury’s basic gives energy to adjacent allies. Putting Fury between Assaulter & Medic is key IMO

Personally I prefer him on the end feeding constantly to medic, but I use them in raids a lot so it's personal preference

Great vid as ever. As a lose link to this, would be interesting to see a vid on the main saved squads, and who they should attack (aim hard counter to brother) and who they should avoid (sinister hard counter to defenders). So I am aware of some, but probably lose more fights than I should in say blitz due to poor fight selection? Just a thought....

I guess all people have their opinion and I disagree on almost all your positioning but still think its a useful video for people who have no idea on how to position their team (and I see people with 3M TCP with very bad positioning) To long for KZbin to comment on everyone on them but if someone want a reason for a specific team just ask and I will give my opinion. Im not perfect but can justify pretty much all my choices

@@combs93 And even on those I disagree it doesn't mean you're wrong, just that we experience thing of a different way. For example if I would put C. marvel in my Brawler team (and I don't think its a good idea as she is amazing in brawler but i rather have to sure2win instead) I would put her in the center because she can easily take the chain damage she heal a lot every turn. A lot of people will put Thanos in the middle as you did but I prefer him to be on a side next to rocket (in raid not in blitz). That way you still have Rocket Ultimate every turn and every nods but you also have always the taunt and heal of Thanos ready. Minnerva next to Starlord assure you in case it goes wrong you can rez and then use Starlord blind and Rez again next turn. So to me in raid Starlord Minnerva Groot Rocket Thanos. No Rocket between two tanks doesn't matter as you one shot pretty much every opponents before they have a chance to attack, plus Thanos perma healing and Groot Defense Up and super strong healing from Minnerva

Trooper is kinda trash compared to Operative as she gives counters, provides focus(it still amazes me to see how many people underestimates this), steals abilities and stealth+heals, IF I had a 7RS Trooper I still wouldn't use him on the SHIELD team, but Coulson is coming and then they will both be off the team xD Perhaps when Coulson comes, I will put Trooper and Operative, with Cap, BW and Quake

@@combs93 adjacent reasons like u mentioned. Security and researcher have adjacent heals. So if u put tank on far side, she can only heal herself and one other, and vice versa with researcher. Scientist supreme's heals dont say adjacent so she can go wherever. Gives them more survivability. I beat full brotherhood teams with them. That's the lineup I've had the best luck with.
