I was mostly watching to make sure that Stefon was number one. Bill Hader could recite the alphabet and probably have me dying laughing if he wanted to*, but this would have been wrong if Stefon was anywhere else in the list. . . *And as I've seen with a number of talented comic actors (e.g. Robin Williams), he's damn good at playing dark, too.

Hahahaha Bill's Stefon character on weekend Update Killed me every single time. He had no idea what he was going to say as the writers wrote it beforehand and he was just reading it. He could never keep a straight face and laughed every single time.

Stefan was always a scream because Bill Hader never knew quite what the cue cards would say until when he was on air. Thus the breaking of character and the classic hands cover face move... LoL!

Just to be clear about Stefon and why Hader cracked up so much: Hader and John Mullaney created the Dtefon charcater and would write his bits together for Weekend Update. Hader would rehearse it before the show, but Mullaney would then add material without telling Hader. Haderw ould see it for the first time on the cue cards and (if anyone has ever seen even one version of it) most of of the people and things in "New York's hottest nightclub" which "has everything" would be incredibly random -- and funny. Hader would try very hard to stay in character, but Mullaney is a terrific writer and knew how "get" Hader. Thus comic gold was produced!
