Bro the fact they put dumb cars like Mr. Zombie and others instead of Specter in TM 3 Dodge Viper he was the best. Super fast "SOME" Armor. In TM 3 v (Left, Right, Down) there was no cool down or wait time to fire another weapon. As fast as you can input the code to shoot behind yourself, is as fast as it would shoot. Freeze drive just past them 10 power missiles in 3 seconds. Or save 10 of specters Special missiles and enter the code and kill someone.

Most incarcerations of Darkside involved high speed ramming, which in my opinion always felt like more of Hammerheads special.

Honorable Mentions Dark Tooth- because who doesn't like More power Outlaw- technically Outlaw won Twisted Metal Twice (The Original Outlaw one the first game and Outlaw 2 won the second) Minion (Armored Tank) - because you can't beat a classic Hammerhead- a Monster Truck in a Demolition Derby? What's not to love. Brimstone- although it was only playable in one game (technically 2 if you count the "Twisted Metal Black: The Lost Levels" Mode in Twisted Metal: Head On Extra Twisted Edition), Brimstone's driver; The Preacher, became a very popular character, who even appeared in cutscenes and after beating the main campaign you unlocked the Preacher Faction! Calypso- because you could only play him in TM4... And he launched a Nuke as his Special Weapon

Twisted Metal 2 was my favorite from back in the day. This is a series that needs a reboot or remastering, and to be sold across consoles. I'd sure that a remastered version of TM 1 and 2 would sell quite a lot. One vehicular combat game I thought didn't get enough love was Critical Depth, which had an interesting group of vehicles, but a storyline that advanced during each level, with each set of characters getting a text advancing their own unique story on each level.

World tour is the best hands down. It had the most interactive environments, the best vehicles and was the only one that didn't butcher all the special weapons. Everyine after that, including the one with zombie were super forgettable, because they were trying to turn twisted metal into some lame super serious ordeal. Twisted metal was about carnage, not the story. Field of screams was the best example of it, too.

Driving Minion in Twisted Metal 2 is always my jam. The backstory for Minion’s tank is that it was a us military r and d project where you can link your mind to the tank. The stronger your brain power, the stronger the tank is. In the case of minion, with him being at the helm of the XJ-9 Mind Tank, would be a near unstoppable force of terrifying power.

I am not surprised that WatchMojo put Sweet Tooth at number one. Sweet Tooth and its driver, Needles Kane, have become the franchise's mascots. The demonic ice cream truck and its driver are also the whole reason I got into Twisted Metal in the first place. Nothing at all will ever beat the excitement and joy of ramming into other opponents or turning Sweet Tooth into a mech in Twisted Metal Black. It was just pure, dumb fun. Black is stupidly difficult, though.

For me my favorite vehicle is Dark Tooth from Head-On it has the nearly the same special of dr.slam and the flame cones from sweet tooth. It scared me as a kid but I loved it
