I learned my lesson! I won't sell any that I'm even slightly attached to anymore. .... That guitar you built was gorgeous! Love the green!

Thank you! And yes, good takeaway! Don't do it 😂😊

A great list with a lot of nice axes. I can't believe you had one of those AX-series 7 strings with the high A. So cool! That Artcore 12 string was a beauty too. Oh and the pics of teenage Molly were a fun bonus. These types of "why did I sell this" videos are always fun. I have my share of things I never should've sold. D'oh! Maybe I need to do one of these videos.

Yes, I would love to see it! It's so interesting to know what people really miss after it's gone. 😊

That sitar is crazy cool. Saw one just now on reverb for 600.had to look it up.maybe a cigar box sitar in my future now! Or a triple neck sitar ,uke,3 string monstrosity.thanks for the ideas, looks like fun to noodle on though.

The sitar guitar!!!!! The sympathetic strings on a sitar work by vibrating when the note they are tuned to is played. All the c sympathetic strings drone when you play a c... And so on.... If you put a pick up under a course of drone strings it will work perfectly.

Yes, they are sooo cool! I'm currently creating my own franken sitar guitar, but I haven't decided how to get the pickup under those drone strings.. slow and steady wins the race I guess 😅

I've been thinking about it since you mentioned it. Been racking my brain about the wiring! I'd want it to be in sequence, like a jazz bass, each pickup having its own volume knob and not being on a 3 way or 5 way switch. Can't imagine how cool it's going to sound when you get it done!

For That harp guitar, you can buy harp or harpsichord tuning pegs and the tuning key on eBay. The sympathetic strings on a sitar are .008 I believe. You could use a thick bit of copper for the bridge. But the pickup I'm not sure about.

This is what I'm thinking about! I have to figure out the string gauges/lengths but I think I can get a low profile stick on pickup that might work perfectly.

@@MusicalMollyKhan I regretted selling an old classical guitar that had a unique sound that I loved. It wasn't a high end model but something in it's nature gave it a sound of it's own. Then I sold my Juno 106 synth and still regret that 😭

it sucks having to sell stuff you're really attached to. even if you don't use the instruments all that much, they have some intrinsic sentimental value to you. personally i've never been a fan of guitars. they're so widely used their sound seems generic and boring to me. i do get why people like them though
