I find myself watching Sam Healey's vids just for the Sam Healey, regardless of subject. He just gets better and better on camera! That said, not a single game from Hoyle's on this list??? :P

Any time you mention BSG I will give a like, I am always a cylon and you can dump cards and hurt the crew so easily both before and after you reveal. LOVE IT

Mage Knight is my favorite. Hand management determines what you can do and the pace of the game. The fact that a card can always be used for one point of basic action means you really have to decide if you want to save your cards for the perfect moment or use them for an extra little boost.

Knew absolutely that number 10 would be on this list, one of my wife's favorite games. I was surprised that number 2 was at the spot it was at honestly. I wouldn't say you shoehorned anything, if it works for the list, put it on ;). Fun list Sam, loved it.

Nice list, this is a favorite mechanism of mine as well, and I really can't argue with any of your choices. Summoner Wars in particular is a great pick. And I think with BSG the hand management stuff can get a lot more interesting if you're a cylon, but I think is still pretty good if you're human. But my top choice for this would have to be Mombasa. The three discard piles thing is so cool, I don't think I've seen anything like that before.

Bohnanza: Only played it once and liked it. It needs more plays though for me to decide how well I like it. Mission: Red Planet: an amazing game. About a month ago I played 1 game of this, and did something I have never seen done before. I played every card, without calling them back, in such precise way, because the particular game moment allowed it, that my hand management was perfect and I got 1st place with an incredible high score. Amazing!

I was recently surprised by how much hand management goes into The Godfather Carleon's Empire. It's a huge part of the strategy and would definitely make my list(if I had one)

Would you do Top 10 Team vs Team Games anytime soon? I'm looking for ideas to fill my collection with such.

Other games - Libertalia, Race for the Galaxy (I'd suggest reading the rulebook and then playing on BoardGameArena until you're familiar with the cards).
