because some performers are more gimmick than actual ability to sing well enough to create and maintain a career which is supposed to be the point. I've seen performers that nailed one song, and when asked to sing something else, they fell short because they had practiced that one song to the point of perfection.

You also need to connect to the song and NOTHING about the talented technique connected to the song lyrics, spirit of the artist or the message in any way, shape or form. LOL but his range is great.
