There is a boss in the corsus area, forgot his name but he doesn't spawn a single ad in the entire boss fight. He's a big blue bug, stuck in a goo type thing.

@Alpha Pack Member #1 The ads for Ixillis XV & XVI are the white orbs. The ads purpose other than breaking up the boss fight pattern is to come and provide ammo drops or mod generation which the white homing orbs do. If you fight a boss without using any ammo (i.e. all melee), they may not call in any ads.

@@magead shit i forgot i even commented on here let alone what i said but in any case my first time around unlike with many others i didn't go on youtube instantly to figure out how to do it so i only found out u had to kill as many mobs as possible before going to fight him late and also in general that place sucks cuz if you for whatever reason go there and forget to grab the bonfire there or whatever they're called i forgot and go somewhere else twice so you can't use the return to last bonfire then you have no hope of returning and its been a problem since day 1 you can't go back in ward whatever and use the mirror its just fucked

Well done on that, i think he is definitely the most difficult boss I faced alongside the undying king. I actually called in some friends to help me kill him haha. Strangely I found Brabus to be the easiest boss of all, and spanked him first attempt solo.

Ixillis with a good weapon is piss easy. So far only killed him on hard, but you just need to avoid attacks until he charges the special attack. I used the beam rifle to break the special attack and deal ridiculous dmg. Kept dying to the poison clouds or falling off the platform. Gorefist is a lot harder.

I played my first play through on hard. Undying king was definitely harder than Ixillis lmao. This is coming from someone who had mid level equipment when facing both on hard. Ixillis is even easier once you have better equipment too once you know the mechanic and how essentially one of them is pointless as long as you know the direction he moves shooting them beams

Tip for the risen: if you just keep your head down and dont look at the crypts/walls the enemies spawn from then nothing spawns and you can take out the crystals ridiculously easily

"Mangler is hard." Are we playing the same game? I beat him first try, I used the sniper and the Revolver. Revolver killed the munchkins easy and the boss was easy to dodge provided you dodge left or right not backwards. Breaking Singe's tail was harder than Mangler.

Yeah, first time I fought Mangler it had the Enchanter suffix. Rot explosions EVERYWHERE. That's the great thing about Remnant. With some bosses, a player's first time with them can differ from another's depending on the suffix.

My first playthrought , i had no idea about the game it was on playstation free mounthly games , i searched online and find out its a hard and challenging game , so i dont know why i chose cultist , but it seems it worked preety well with Menders aura , and for start i chose hard dificulty . Bearly go througt the game took me about 8 hours to get to first boss :)) whitch was this gorefist , just tried and tried to get the moves get back to base learned to up my stuff and luckly buy flame mod for secondary weapon , i dont know how many tryes it took but finaly i did it without any mistake because i couldnt stop even for healing and 2 blows would be fatal , then i restarted the game on normal dificulty :))

I found that for the Undying King, when he pulls his swords out, the best strategy is to actually run right at him. If you charge him head on quick enough, you can dodge roll through his first swing, and he can't turn around quickly to come at you for the second. It's scary, but works well once you've got the timing down. Definitely a beast, though! Love the list as always! This was such a hidden gem! Also, you better be getting hyped for Code Vein! Can't wait for that!

You really should revisit this game. It's changed a LOT since it first came out, including many more bosses added in the DLC (such as the Iskal Queen). Also, you really should address some more of the subtleties of fighting the bosses, like how the Unclean One can have a drastically different boss fight if, rather than running up to him while he's in his kitchen (he doesn't aggro immediately when you enter his hut) you instead sneak down into his basement and hide to ambush him.

ALSO sorry, you forgot the boss Riphide. He’s an elite boss, that much different than the base version. He splits after each 20%, but each one can spam a shockwave that’s hard to avoid. The challenge is that he eventually gets to like 12 guys all who will spam that shockwave one after the other giving no time to dodge. They will also surround you and box you in. Periodically two will start regenerating the health of the boss meter. It becomes insanely tedious and hard to manage. For me the top 3 are Riphide, The Reanimator, and Ixillus.

There's a save analyzer online that you can use to check your save every time you roll a new adventure (don't even need to close the game) and it'll tell you what dungeons are in the world. That way if you don't have the right dungeon, you just reroll again.

I would generally say Remnant's bosses are mostly frustrating rather than actually difficult. I have yet to take more than 3 attempts to kill any of them (just finished Ixillus) on my first run. Then again I have been abusing minions (floaty skulls are the best!) so that might be skewing the difficulty. The King however, is giving me the most unholy rodgering.

gorefist will forever be the worst bossfight i have ever played in a game ever. He's managable on normal, but on any higher difficult? If you're like me and play nightmare most of the time his exploding adds will straight up *one-shot* you and end the fight in seconds. Gorefist is as bad as he is because he's a prime example of boss padding; adding a bunch of buffed enemies that can kill you faster than the boss can to give the illusion of a difficult fight when it is, in fact, a very unfair one.

Boss difficulty in this game is SO reliant on what build you're bringing into it. Also, on minibosses, what modifier they have (i.e. the small names like "Vicious" or "Regenerator" under their proper names) The first boss I faced was Gorefist as a Scrapper. Beat him on the first try. On the same character with the same close-ranged build style, though, I had a lot more difficulty with the 'easiest' boss Shroud, so mileage varies ridiculously.

So I can only really judge the bosses I've fought so far: Gorefist: First boss I fought. He killed me 20 times, while the next hardest bosses killed me 4 times, which should tell you how hellish it is for a first timer. Scald & Sear: Garbage fight. Frustratingly difficult, and he just spends the battle running away. Brabus: My second boss. I dunno what happened, but I got to the back wall of the arena and Brabus just stood behind a pillar doing standard cover shooter shit while only one NPC shot at me. I think he mightve glitched out or something, but I found him pretty easy. Dreamer/Nightmare: I thought dreamer was way harder and more fun. Nightmare would be really hard if he had more than one attack. Bloodwort really trivialized the dark world for me, and I found him to be severely disappointing for a final boss.

I think the issue with GF is simply the "new game, first boss" issue. You're probably really undergeared, not much options to improve or to choose from: few traits, basic mods, basic weapons with +5 max. This limits ALL your capabilities. I genuinly thought that I missed some other directions as I found it impossible to beat Shroud, he was so OP. :)

@@Wikingking Shroud is pretty hard. Found the best thing to do is get rid of ads like any boss in remnant. First ya gota know where he is and find some cover. And when he uses his air strike ability you just keep runing or roll until its over. Just before he does the airstrike you can get a few free shots in. Also movement is key, if you stand still you will get shot

@@soldier22881 Well after you get some decent gear and level ups, Shroud indeed becomes one of the easiest bosses to handle. His HP pool is kinda low and he often makes the mistake of teleporting near to you, especially if you tend to play in one of the corners of the map, next to the staircase. You can murder him quite quickly then - swarm and iron sentinels help a lot :)

For the regenerating part of the Undying King, stand in front of him on the platform, drop a menders aura, and spray whatever automatic weapons you have at him and the ads. It forces them to come up behind him leaving it much more manageable.

Honestly, Harrow gave me more problems than Undying King. I found that summoning Adds myself during the Undying King fight (Seedcaller, Turrets) greatly helped divide aggro and made it more bearable. As for Reanimator, that one took me a ton of tries until I went with Hive as one of my mods. You hived, then started attacking whatever wasn't hived; If the Hive is on the Reanimator, clear adds, if it's killing Adds, hit the Reanimator.

I agree with that gorefist rank And not with the mangler (just my opinion) How i beat mangler is just by using the hunting rifle with the hunter's mark weapon mod to keep track on the enemies around, the map is also big and not like gorefist and the mobs when fighting manggler is not that hard to kill and doesnt do that much dmg either. The hunter's mark also gives more critical chance which is really good for almost any enemy, hunting rifle also does a lot of dmg which is the best with hunter's mark which gives more crit chance making it does a hell of a lot of dmg

Fun fact: I got this game after seeing DeModcracy's first video on it. The first boss I encountered was Gorefist and it took me about 2 hours of smashing my head against a wall to reroll my campaign for something new.

I'm shocked to see Raze so high. I always thought of Raze as the pinwheel of this game. The undying King was a joke with any sort of high damage weapon, his head is an easy weak spot as well. I'm assuming this was made before the Iskal Queen so I can understand the King getting his spot.

First time fighting Riphide he gave me fits, with his constantly spamming shockwaves in the final phase. Next time I fought him I had the Explosive shot mod from Brabus. It absolutely melts him if you catch 3-4 copies in the blast radius. That mod on my SMG carried me through most of the game.

funny, for me the hardest boss were the Ixillis bros, the undying king took me 2 tries on hard mode (which is the difficulty I started the game on...because I'm an idiot). Best strategy for the king is to summon the "very good boy" and have the mod that shoots radiation projectiles (it destroys those orbs on 1 hit)

For me Ixilis was the toughest, I went public and got two more people but it still took us over an hour. Nightmare the second toughest after that, it caught me off guard too and it took us a few tries. Luckily my first boss was Gorefist so I was prepared

The funny thing about Brabus is that, depending on how your run goes, you might meet his dad at some point and get handed his watch. If you have that watch, Brabus won't fight you. Not that you can guarantee both getting the watch and meeting Brabus in the same run.

You also don’t have to fight Brabus even if you don’t meet his dad. If you’re with other players he’ll offer your team to free for all each other until one player remains. Then he’ll give you the same rewards as he does if you meet his dad.

Gorefist was the very first boss I fought in this game and let me tell you, I died to him more times than any other boss I've fought so far INCLUDING but not limited to: Onslaught, Scald and Sear, Raze, and even Ixillis whom many people consider to be the hardest boss.

You cant really make a top 10 list, because everyones equipment is different. Brabus is very easy for example, as long as you use a pet-mod.

I always get into a WW1 standoff situation with Brabus, each one of us taking cover behind one of the two little defensive walls on either side of where you start the fight in the center. Each of us crouched, popping up to fire off a few shots at the other before crouching to reload again. That exchange is hella easy to win, as you can just duck his stuff and be ready to lay into him when he pops his head up. The only thing that you have to worry about at that point is the adds popping in from odd angles to harass you behind your cover, and they're easy enough to deal with while staying out of his line of fire. I consider Brabus to be one of those bosses that's not particularly stressful, personally.

I agree with this. I was surprised Brabus made top 10. My first play through solo I think I downed him first attempt with just flame bullets and that mod which is good against melee. Though to be fair it was one of those moments where it was a photo finish.

Idk why people think Ixillus is difficult, very easy to dodge their attacks, just make sure to kill em at the same time so you don't have to fight any of them enraged. Did alt. kill yesterday on Nightmare, imo Undying King was the most difficult because of the adds being so tanky on nightmare.

So i just wanna say, i used the sniper rifle for most of my first playthrough and i can safely say that it just makes a joke of a lot of these bosses. For Example the undying Kings flying orbs, the ones that he whined about, fall in oneshot and all you need to do is keep your distence from the snail king

Pro tip for Raze... Beam Rifle constantly to the weak spot when he charges his fire attack, and when he shoots it they will all miss you because it makes him flinch/move every time your beam hits.

@6:50 - you can cheese Brabus by running to a room with an open fridge on the right side of the arena. Just run behind the door of the fridge, and he can't hit you, and none of the mobs can, either.

Learning the pattern of attacks of the bosses is pretty important. Ixillis was actually pretty easy once you’ve learned their patterns. Couple up with good weapon mods. Like the Rattle Weed for the floating orbs. Those can be pain in the ass if you’re trying to focus on the big bois.

I started a solo hardmode on my first play through. It took me AGES to beat gorefist only to then struggle defending the root mother in the church. After that the rest of the game was an absolute cake walk. Very few bosses didn't go down first time. Funnily enough most of the ones that tripped me up are on the other list. Dreamer was a huge let down, once you realise how the fight works it's simple. Overall great game though, just wish there was more content, I don't see much reason to play through again.

I posted on the other video some basic tips - So I'll continue here. Hmmm. Old video - But I'll chime in here... Having beat the game and done melee only challenges with the game - Some info. Fight Gorefist to the right hand side of the room - Where there are breakable boxes. If you can cause bleed or fire - Use them on him. You can actually deal enough damage to him to cause him to skip minion summon phases. When he DOES summon minions - Use the entire room. Hunter's Mark in this fight is almost required once you to get to harder modes. On Onslaught - Much like with Gorefist - Don't back yourself into a corner. All of his attacks are AoE in nature and you can't iFrame them all. Use the right hand side (up near the first pillar) and the bridge in the center of the room - To deal with adds and to find cover. The Mangler actually has 2 different variant types that you can actually rotate out. Enchanter and normal. If you get the Enchanter affix (explosive bombs everywhere) - You can leave the game and come back - And hopefully roll the affix away. With Scald (Sear is simple to deal with - Find a wall to stand behind and have him fly to you - You can generally kill him with 1 or 2 clips) you can force him to attack (and stay) at the podium in the center if you run to the right (after entering the fog wall) and doubling back to the right (on the wall above the fog entrance - Exactly where you are at at the 5:05 mark). If you run to this location and stand at the very edge - You can force Scald to run back to find cover and shoot at you. Snipe at him and roll BACK away from his shots (they do splash damage and will cause burn). Repeat this. With Raze - Much like Onslaught and Gorefist - Force him to follow you under the pillar and rock cover area to the right of the fog wall. You will have skulls fly in with you - But they can easily be dealt with. You can literally stun lock Raze under the rock area with NO issues and take NO burn dmg. Ummm.... Sorry man - But Brabus is legit the EASIEST boss in the game! Hands down - No contest. Even Ravager when you chose to skip him and use the bells! So the easy strat for Brabus - Is to run to the right - You will find a room with an open fridge (the room you are looking at at the 7:15 mark) - Stand behind the fridge and force the boss to come inside with you. Duck and shoot! When he uses his big attack (His shotgun) - Slide all the way into the little opening! BAM! Simply hide and kill anything that comes in! You are doing the Re-Animator wrong. Do NOT stay at 1 for to long. This fight is about mob management... Run to 1 of the Re-Animators and dish out as much dmg as you can until to many mobs swamp you... And then? Run to the next! Rotate between 2 of them until 1 is dead - And then rotate between the next one and the one remaining. All mobs in this fight are slow except for the ones that TP - And you can EASILY deal with them. The other mobs move at a snails pace. If you start getting elites - You have taken to long. Its the "soft" cap for the DPS race that is this fight. On Apocalypse - This is one of the EASIEST fights there is - Simply because you can avoid everything! Only touch the ones that TP around - And kill the towers. On Dreamer/Nightmare - During P1 - Don't even attack the adds man. Its a waste of time. When the Dreamer does his whirl attack - He will kill them anyway if you place yourself correctly. Put bullets in that kids head! After you transition to P2 - The mobs leave anyway. During P2 - DO NOT... I can NOT stress this enough... DO NOT waste bullets on Nightmare without stacks of the buff... He has millions of HP and the gimmick of the fight is to get the buff inside of the nightmare... Save your ammo! Once you go inside the nightmare - Kill as many mobs as you can - And if you can get a Gorefist or Shade elite or 2 - Great! That being said - You can kill him in 1 go if you have at least 15 stacks with Swarm and some well place shots when he opens his chest. With the Undying King - Don't rush! He is very slow himself (not very aggressive) which gives you a lot of time to deal with his adds. I don't even deal with his orbs until after I've killed off his adds. Use the dais and the walls. When he goes back up and starts to heal - Recover what you can - And go to town on him! The biggest problem I see during your footage here - Is that you are trying to evade to the side and away - With him roll THROUGH him to get to his back. When he does his WILD leap attack WAIT to dodge! Let him land first and then dodge through him - The timing is odd with this attack - Like at 12:25 - You rolled as he was leaping at you - And he was able to catch you during the roll because of it.

Pro tip for anyone fighting the Re-Animator: Enemies don't span if you simply look straight at the floor. So, look at the floor until you find the re-animator towers, then look straight up at the tower, fire at it until it is dead, then look straight back down, and find the next tower. They glow blue to guide you in the right direction. I kid you not, this works, and I believe is intended, sort of like a Raiders of the Lost Ark sort of thing "Keep your eyes shut!" thing.

Shade and Shatter were super easy for me, Undying King took me 2 hours to beat though and was the 4th boss I faced. Had to beat him early for his boss weapon which is one of the best in the game.

i actually found a method of cheesing shade and shatter. basically you stack lifesteal gear, consume a heavy water elixir, and spam melee (preferably riven) while they are in their "shield" phase, the lifesteal is enough to keep you sustained in the bubble and the radiation effect kills all the adds that come to get you. Made it quite an easy fight
