At 5:04 yeah... I remembered this moment... But that changed after I discovered something about the level. The game's not gonna leave you hanging; if you wait a while after the moving platform leaves, they'll always spawn another one for you. So I always try to stay on the still platforms as a rest point to plan my next move. After doing that, I got the star after a few tries.

One trick I learned with bouldergeist is that once he enters the second phase and he starts using the hands, if you run in circles around him directly next to him, you can easily hit him with the boos without having to worry about the hands. He’ll usually do the attack where he lifts the hands in the air and slam them down which gives you plenty of space to hit him, and the boos are already right next to you so you can grab them easily. Bouldergeist has never been an issue for me simply because I use that method to defeat him every time lol.

I remember i cheesed the level with the spin jump shadow marios by letting myself get hit by the shadow marios and recovering the damage with coins, leaving no shadow marios behind eventually

When I first played Purple Coins in the Bonepen on 3d All Stars, I was using the touch screen. I wasted around 10 seconds bumping into the meat things and still got it first try with 5 seconds left

i can argue with #2 is even harder in the switch version. it just says to tilt the right joy con, not the entire system. also, you can tap instead of using motion controls (handheld mode only)

17:24 no checkpoints in Grandmaster’s Daredevil Run, unlike it’s 2 good friends, Boomsday Machine (World 5) & Mini Planet (World 6), which is why it’s called The Perfect Run. 😂😂 And I’ll call Lava Spire Daredevil Run in the 1st Galaxy game the Lava Spire Perfect Run since there are no checkpoints. The good thing about Boomsday Machine Daredevil is that there’s a checkpoint before the boss fight, and the good thing about Mini Planet Daredevil is that there are 2 checkpoints in the level to save your progress.

Purple Coins in the Bone Pin makes me want to hurl my Wii Remote at the screen. The fact that its premise is already annoying enough, but *one minute?* Who thought that was a good idea? I remember when I finally beat the level, I instantly turned the game off and didn't play it for awhile. The most frustrated I've been with a Mario game at that point.

even though The perfect run is hard, I think that the impossible pack from New Super Mario bros 2 is harder. It doesn't have one life, but it has three levels together. Also, in German it is known as Hals Und beinbruch, which means Neck and leg fracture, or as in a idiom, break a leg.

I’ve only ever beaten Mario Galaxy (never got through Mario Galaxy 2), and weirdly enough, the comet that killed me the most was Purple Coins in the Desert (the Dusty Dune Galaxy Purple Coin Mission). That level was not difficult, just extremely annoying (also, that was only when playing as Mario. When as Luigi, the one that gave me the most trouble was Purple Coins on the Battlerock, which is just an easier version of Battlestation’s Purple Coins)

Eh, yeah, I kinda agree. Only Lava Spire is really that tough and it's mostly just because it's so much longer than the rest. But if you want a real challenge, try fighting Daredevil Kamella without spinning. Trust me when I say it is DIFFICULT.

I'm surprised that purple coins on the rainbow road are #3. I'm still trying to beat it even though i somehow easily beat purple coins in the bone pen.
