The trick with the relic to Cold Hard Crash is to not get hit and get the 2 Aku Aku masks before boarding the death route. There will be a third Aku in the death route waiting for you, so you can pretty much blaze through the death route and get to the end faster

I did eventually get a platinum on stormy ascent after i made this video. It took a good 2 hours, but i eventually got that run. The lab i still find to be a lot of luck since you have to jump through electricity gates

Only recently got the platinum on crash 2 and can confirm the death route in cold hard crash is miles faster. It’s certainly easier anyway. Just get there with 2 masks and you can do the rest of the level with invincibility

I do agree on hanging out being the most difficult. Man, when I look at these, I am like, "I don't want to ever ever ever ever repeat attempting time relics in the N snae trilogy or it's about time or the ghost races in the Nitro fueled. Those were miserable time periods of my life that still haunt me. I'm glad I quit.

Generator room in crash 1 is very hard too for how tight the timing is and any mistake means you have to restart It's like the lab

I remember having a lot of trouble with generator room. It was also my nemesis when i used to speedrun the game. At least it's a short level, otherwise it would have made this list.

Hanging out is infinitely easier as Coco. I did the exact same strategies and was 9 seconds faster with her. She climbs the monkey bars section wayyy faster

Stormy Ascent and Future Tense aside, the relics that caused me the most grieve in the NST games are: 1. Mad Bombers 2. Hangin Out 3. Hog Ride 4. Ski Crazed 5. Rings of Power

@@jesaea i can totally understand the difficulty since it took me almost 100 attempts to get the relic. Basically if you take the correct route, there should be enough time crates to freeze the clock for the entire second half of the level. All the best in nailing your gold and hopefully platinum relic for this level! :)

Just got all of the relics on Crash 1 - my target was only Gold though as platinum is unnecessary for the achievement. So my list is in relation to top 10 hardest for me getting the gold relic: 1. Stormy Ascent - just a really long and punishing level to get through without dying 2. Generator Room - this level is brutal to even get the gold on, let alone the platinum 3. Sunset Vista - similar to Stormy Ascent, it wasn't really the relic time, more so the difficulty of not dying on a really long level 4. The Lab - similar to generator room, it's quite tight to even get Gold on this level 5. Native Fortress - a decently long level with little room for error, but a lot of cycles that can mess you up 6. High Road - I was quite good at the rope jump, so this level didn't give me as much trouble as others 7. Castle Machinery - another decently long level with a lot dependent on cycles 8. Temple Ruins - not sure why with this one, I just had a hard time with it 9. Slippery Climb - I got the gold on this one on attempt 4, which surprised me 10. Jaws of Darkness - even though this is a more difficult version of temple ruins, I got this one in like 10 fewer attempts

So I know I'm a bit late to the discussion but can I just say how much of a nightmare the relics in Crash 3 are? They rely so much on the powerups and I hate that. I HATE the powerups, not because they're powerups but because they are, for me at least, inconsistent as fuck! I loved getting the platinums in Crash 1 and 2 because, while they sure were hard in places, the controls were always consistent and I never felt any progress on my part was due to luck but due to my better understanding of the controls and mechanics, and then there's Crash 3, just ... FUCK OFF WITH RANDOM ASS POWER UPS THAT WILL ACTIVATE ON ONE RUN AND THEN WON'T ON ANOTHER!

Oh for sure i tended to find the relics in warped to be among the hardest to get, i found crash 1 quite straight forward, since there is no powerups and the times are on the most part pretty lenient. It's hard to imagine it's the hardest game to get the platinum relics for considering it was the game which relics were initially introduced in.

Not gonna lie, I've barely attempted Crash 1 & 2 relics. After a long break from the game I went back to get to 2 more golds on Warped so I can get the games platinum trophy. I'm a little surprised Hot Coco didn't show up (I respect your opinion and list nonetheless). The precise control of the jet ski to get the boxes right between bombs drove me mad, but I did hear about a glitch to complete it within a few seconds but didn't know whether it was patched or not. Till this day I just skipped it and did Future Tense for the 30th relic instead.

I did manage to glitch a time by going through the nitro but that was after i had already got a platinum. I am not the biggest fan of the jet ski either. But once i found a good route to take i found the time was pretty lenient. So it didn't take me too long. I still have not got any relic for future tense although i didn't give it much of a go. Maybe i could do that as video.

I finally have all of these platinum relics, these are my 5 hardest 5. Native fortress- I despise this level from top to bottom, and I barely beat the platinum time 4. Future tense- just a really hard level, and so annoying. But very good design 3. Spaced out- this took me nearly 4 hours in one sitting to get, hated this shitty little level 2. The lab- fuck the lab 😂, literal perfection to get the relic, and my time of 44:10 is only a couple of seconds away from the world record 1. Stormy ascent- this took me probably 10+ hours to get the platinum 😂, probably thousands of attempts. But at least my time was somewhat good at 2:49:46. *Hangin out, road to nowhere, generator room were also very hard

GG on getting all the platinum's Very tough list of levels. They really were super harsh for the time to achieve on the lab, considering you have to wait for the correct cycle and jumping through electric barriers can be down to luck.

Also I gotta secret Gem route in Cold Hard if I have to get a platinum relic to get it right first within secret gem route, even though I have to save it for last after all 26 platinum relics first, from all 25 crystals (only) and beat Dr. Cortex with Running Shoes ability.

That's the thing, once you start you have to finish, so i can also understand not wanting to tackle crash 1. Hot coco was super annoying especially with the updated jet ski controls. It's great you don't need every relic though for crash warped to get the achievements. Congrats on getting all the relics in crash 2 :D

I got to needing 27 relics gold or better to platinum crash 1. I have crash 3 platinum. High time is a nightmare. On crash 2 I need 10 relics gold and 27 relics gold or better 1 day I’m going to get back to both games.

Where is Fumbling in the Dark? High Road? and even SUNSET VISTA? it starts well with Road to Nowhere, but nothing more frustrating than Sunset Vista imo.. even Future Tense was a breeze compared with those 3.. i dont even mentioning Stormy Ascent (its an extra level, its fine to exclude it)..

I didn't have too many problems with those 3 but i would say sunset vista and high road are just outside my top 10. Once i worked out the ropes the time is very lenient in the high road so if you get a clean run you can take your time. For whatever reason i tended to find the relics in the first game easier to get platinums than Crash 2 or 3. maybe because they were simpler and you didn't have to rely on extra mechanics that i never quite mastered.

High Time is one of the funniest level in the game. You can get platinum relic even without speed shoes, absolutely loved it.

​@@damianw.3962 thanks! Those carpets are the worst! One thing you can do to avoid landing them is doing a slide jump and super spin over each. So you don't have to land directly on the carpet... but timing has to be on point

For me, the High Road was the most difficult of the list, cannot be consistent in the rope jump, took me over100 times to get to the end of the stage but i screwed up in the last jump, and then took me antother 100 attempts to get the Relic. Hangin' Out was difficut to get it right, you need some precision at the beggining to get to the hanging part and get those enemies in a good spot to go faster and reduce stoping. It would be 10 times more difficult without the masks.

I would be so bad at doing the rope jumps on the high road now. There was a point where i could get it consistently. That would annoy me so much to get so close. But i have done that many times on some levels.

Im only gonna say my top 10 crash 1 hardest relics because i will not dare try to get the relics in the other 2 10. Sunset vista Its hard to get the relic but it isnt hard to get the platinum (if you get what i mean) 9. The high road I hate these turtles and the rope is hard to stand on but when you do it for a while youll get it 8. Temple ruins I hated this level from the start and out of all the levels for me its the hardest to stay alive and yeah i hate the level 7. Road to nowhere I swear this level is harder to get the platinum on then the high road I mostly die on the 3rd hog Atleast i the high road there arent so many hogs 6. Rolling stones Trying not to lose a mask is a nightmare 5. Native fortress The only part i really hate is the part with giant crate tower with a tnt on the bottom 4. Loading Room The tnt sandwich in the beggining...thats all i got to say 3. Toxic waste These goofy animals with barrels are toxic and they waated my time 2. The lab I never even got 10 seconds close to the platinum💀💀 1. Stormy Old I dont even got the relic and havent tried

Yea.. death route in cold hard crash is much quicker... buy only if you use it when you already have 2 aku aku masks, so u can get 3rd one mid death route and be invincible through series of stomping pillars, and shitloads of nitro crates ON ICE of course....

I got my crash warped platinum trophy today. The level high time was hardest to get gold relic on. I completed it at 108 percent the future tense levels I got a sapphire relic. The crystal and 2 gems. I have ocd I was determined
