Burning Depths is the hardest track in the game by a major landslide. For some reason, even though the track layout is tricky, the CPU seems to do pretty bad in Adder's Lair and Race of Ages, making them actually not that hard. I actually think it's way easier to get first on those tracks than on the ones of the first cup. Against humans it's a different story, of course.

So that is why I saw two different versions. I was always confused by why when I played It one time it just driving and boating and no flying and then another it had flying. I was confused because the track name was still Race of Ages. But How does the 1st place person decide? Is it based on which direction you go in during the water section?

@@Tanka_ Mid-way through the track, there's a small wall in the middle of the road. If you are in first place, you will see holograms of a plane and a boat to the left and right of the road respectively. If you drive through the corresponding side, the next section will be changed accordingly.

Burning Depths is the Hardest, Once you get accustomed to Race of Ages and Adders Lair, they're both very easy in terms of beating the bots. Although they are tough the first few times. The most fun track IMO is the Skies of Arcadia one, although there are a lot of fun ones.

A bit more information on Race of Ages: There's also a flying portion of the stage, but as you progress through the level, you reach a point of division where you see two holograms, a jet and a boat. The person in first place chooses where to go. In my personal opinion, go with the flying stage. Trust me, it's better.

Galactic Parade, Rouges Landing and Dream Valley were options I would've understood. Graveyard Gig is my favorite track in the entire game. Struggling on Graveyard Gig is like saying you find Baby Park in Mario Kart Double Dash and Mario Kart 8 to be the hardest stage ever.

OK maybe it's for time constraints,but the Race of AGES segment is missing a key gimmick: when you get to the last fork(the one without the pit) in each pathway there is a vehicle hologram(boat to the right,plane to the left). the next section is determined by which hologram you decide to follow, and it's either the boat section and a plane section that you didn't talk about. The latter is actually pretty easy.

I would maybe have excluded the ship race (no. 10) and I would have included that level where everything is green and there's lots of rings to fly through from the beginning. I personally find number 2 really easy, there's a few easy tricks to it that make it simple. I'd have ranked the rooftops city level a little higher. Great video though, is fun to hear other opinions.

You know that the first racer in Race of Ages decides if you go for the boat or plane section, right? So if you prefer the plane just make sure you're in first place and go on the plane side. And Dragon Canyon isn't hard at all. All the things you can hit in the flying section just means you get easier Risk Boost chances!

I would have to say Race of Ages is the hardest for me. The consistent road-based portion is easier to fall off of than Rainbow Road. The boat section is nightmarish due to the worse handling, gates, turns, and the incoming items you still have to deal with. The flight section is really easy...until you reach the Transform Ring. Once you reach it, STAY CLOSE TO THE GROUND. If you don't, you risk skipping the trigger to the finish line and have to double back. If "Wrong Way" is displayed on your screen for too long, you'll respawn after the trigger. Once you do make it through, you'll simply end up driving into a wall and would have to turn around. This makes the difference between 1st and 10th.

Oh man, loved this game. Turns out I was within top 10 on PS4 in terms of legit times without glitches. Took a small break then they reset leaderboards so I didn't bother to try again. BTW these were for Time Trials. I spent a lot of time making it there. Got to 2nd on one map, can't remember which one though.

Hardest stage has to be Burning Depths. Also it was titled Burning because the stage, while you're racing, is burning. There is water but the inside of the sub is on fire.

Graveyard Gig is hard, but number 1? Ehhh. You nailed the rest of it though, Sanctuary Falls is REALLY hard. Also, here's a little secret I discovered for Race of Ages - right before the transforming bit, there's this wall that splits the track in two, and depending on which side of the track gets raced through first you end up in either a boat or plane section.

Good list although I disagree about Sanctuary Falls being a hard stage, I found it easy even on expert mode and can hold my own when it comes to those long drifts. I'd say Roulette Road or Sunshine Tour is harder then this (granted they are from the first game)

This game is underrated. The controls aren't as smooth as I'd like them to be, but the tracks look beautiful and are all a joy to play (for the most part.) They went overboard with the different mechanics in some of them, but every game has that. It's a solid substitute for Mario Kart.

In the last curve of "Chilly Castle" If you hit the last bank at full speed, you'll get airborne. It's easier and faster to take the lava route than the axe route for "Adder's Lair" Also, The first lap of "Burning Depths" should be hardest, in terms of expert mode, if you pass the computers, it's relatively easy to dominate. In lap one, do not get hit before you make the curve upwand the tank(boosts are good for this part and BEWARE OF BLOWFISHES) In lap two, after you've passed the tank, as you enter the fork, take the more inward path. if you have the lead by lap three, it's a pretty easy course. You're welcome. :D

I COMPLETELY agree on number 1. That track has cheap turns out the wazoo. Number 2, I'm gonna have to disagree with. Race of Ages is one of the best tracks in the game and I never really have any problems in it. I can see it being hard if you're using a character with terrible handling though. All in all, great video! I hope to make Top Tens with this quality once I learn the basics of video editing

Why it's called Burning Depths? It's because you're in an underwater base that is, well, burning. But, the water somehow got in the base, which explains the lack of fire.
