Harry Potter and the Ticket Backwards is also amazing with great world building for wizard society and magic itself! Found on A03. When at the white kings cross station in the last book, instead of boarding a train to go forwards to return to the battle, he boards a train to go backwards before he got his letter. Harry is now trying to stop the battle from ever happening, but it's not as easy as he thought.

A few of my favorites include: - For Love of Magic by Noodlehammer - Blood and Magic by L0stS0uls - The Good War by inwardtransience - Rise of the Wizards by Teufel1987 Good worldbuilding is something I look for above all else. Prince of Slytherin definitely meets that standard and exceeds it too. I read it a year ago but recently found your channel and have started listening to your AI narrations. I had no idea it was the topic recommend fic.

A really good fic to check out is Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality by Less Wrong. It's an AU where a bunch of the characters have an IQ boost. It's both crack and serious.

There is a new treasure known as "A legacy of evil" in spacebattles. Basically its a self insert as tom riddle while he working in Brogin and burks. Guy is actually voldemort himself not someone else as he is a merge between original tom riddle and the new guy. So story follows he destroying hocruxes and exploring magical and muggle worlds in 1950s while writing books like lockhart did except this time all of them being genuine stories. The world building is incredible and focus on the political situation of post ww2 muggle and magical world ( I mean world, not britain..story already went to america , asia and russia)

Prince of Slytherin is truly one of the greatest adaptations of JK Rowlings work. The manga style fights, expansive world and deep explainations, along with the fact that its a fanfiction so it doesnt need to constrain its ideas, makes it a truly memorable read. I have been reading the story since 2014

One of my favorites, which I highly recommend you do a narration for, is Antithesis by Oceanbreeze7 WBWL, but a tragic story through and through, although one of the best I've ever read.

Agreed. Oceanbreeze7 is an amazing author in general. If you haven't read Diablerie by him, it's amazing. Tom Riddle travels forewords in time, the worldbuilding is just the best, and that's all I can say without feeling like I am spoiling anything. Just, genuinely, Oceanbreeze7 is one of my favorite authors.

But instead of being Hermione Granger she now Hermione Potter twin sister to none other than James. This reality she tries to save not only Harry but everyone else also.

It's a story about Sirius Black falling in love with muggle woman he meets when he's still a fugitive. It's more of a what if Sirius Black survived story too. It was supposed to be a one of story but eventually evolved into an unintentional rewrite of the last few books in the series. I still couldn't get over the fact that JK Rowling killed off most of my favorite characters. 😅

The Prince of Slytherin is not popular anymore on the Harry Potter fanfiction subreddit because the plot got overly complicated, the pace slowed to glacial, and the update rate slowed down. I quit reading the updates in 2021 when the fic was early in fourth year and last I've heard it was still in Nov. 1994 soon after the selection of the Tournament champions.

Just finished reading "Blindness" after finding this video. What can I say - this is awesome fic. Completely non-conventional free-rewriting of books. Here the storyline is fully different and all events, connected to the books are happening in first 3% of the work. Highly recommended. "Stages of hope" - all living are broken.. but those others, who are dead, but still live, will help them to live after the death.. Also nice one. With a bit of action and humor and the beginning and more fanfic common grief, self-destructive thoughts and other emotions in a secret be half. Recommended "Arithmacy" - boring rewritement of original books. Some more details here and there, but main story follows main story.. if one never read something like this - it is about Potter from Hermione point of view in "eat, meet, chat, repeat" style. And she actually is falling out of her "Arithmacy plot".. I stoped scrolling at about 10%. One can recommend it to full fanfic newbies only. Otherwise - skip.. Will go on with a list :)

The accidental animagus is from the same author as Arithmacy. So same problems. It is more interesting, but I did not manage to read it till the end.. and actually the second part is not finished and seem to be abandoned... The fic is fun to read at the beginning, but it is huge, never ends, too much "kind of politics", too much repetitions of talks.. The Black Comedy - hilarious. A bit vulgar probably, but has nothing to do with original books and that is why the storyline is really genuine. The short sad and emotional moments are usually followed with a potion of humor or sarcasm. A lot of adventures, gags and puns. I kind of believe girls will not like it, but guys most definitely will. Highly recommended.

"The sum of their parts" - Harry goes Dark. It is more a revenge and "iF the law cant bring an order, a lynching will ". Dark emotions, dark doings. Hollywood could make a good movie out of it. Worth reading. "Oh God Not Again" - somehow unremarkable rewritement of the original. The early happy end is the only part I remember. "Seventh Horcrux" - This one is hilarious. Short, full of humor, active, jumps straight through the events with no "eat sleep chat repeat 100000000x times". Harry-Voldy is young and sarcastically dumb to normality. His view on the same events as in the original book are sometimes just hysterical - e.g. his evaluation of Lockhart. And I really enjoyed his treatment of dark-lord-Hermione - her first planned genocide as an example 8)) "The Pureblood Pretense" - definitely readable.. Would be if it would be finished.. Every next book is twice longer than a previous. And more and more and more chat-eat-think-move-chat-think instead of action. Many side-lines which are not interested at all.. As a result - author stuck somewhere in the start of the fifth year and seem to abandon the work.. In total trhough - awesome potions magic and their invention. The events just sidely touch the original - I would even say it is completely authentic! But, again, the author dove deeper and deeper in useless conversations and side lines with no end. I more swiped in the last book than read.. Really pity..

The company of another where petunia is a lot kinder towards both boys harry and dudly she divorces vurnan moves house publishes books and Takes them to diagonally and france Very nice. Looks can be deceiveing where Hermione is snapes apprentice and discovers family in unexpected people a good teacher where mr harison at harrry's local school is kind but strict towards bullying. Teaches dudly a lesson or two and tells harry about magic and trains him till hogwarts and he learns the truth about the time travelling teacher is an older vursion of himself. Oh God not again is a classic. Stages of Hope classic Harrry Potter and the stolen soul where harry knows about magic through his scar called shadow and the dreams of a twin living with the Long-bottom's and doing magic every birthday. He escapes and buys a familia called dazlin colours makes slytherin but doesn't want to mad eye's little marauder Moody finds about harry staying with the dursley's and takes him away. It reminds me of the story good night mr tom It's quite like it. A very black plan is where Harry goes to grim old place and takes the slytherin and black lordship as well as black blood addoption and get's training from the longBottom's and emilia bones who helps harry Goblins are kind and helps rid the world of voldi and hawcrucks Hermione and Harry Paring When in doubt Obliviate Lockheart takes harrry away to teach and looks after him. He makes slytherin and they kind of distroy voldimort in a way but not quite Six years and 6 professers a very funny insite as to how snape may have tried to acquire the DADA position while dumbledaw refused. Written by Sara 1281 so it's really funny I'll recommend more that I like. they're all complete except for harry and the stolen soul that's inprogress but the author is consistent with the updates Somehow they always offer sorries even though they did nothing wrong

I know someone else had said it, but I would highly recommend the “Muggle” series by TinaX2. All of those books are absolute genius. My other recommendation would be anything by kmbell92. A few of my favs from her: Nepenthe (and it’s sequel) The Brotherhood series The Haunting of Judith Wagner Tightly Knit (read this one first 😉) She has tons more too, a bunch set in the same universe and some standalone. Her writing style is just *chefs kiss*
