That's not correct. Vanilla Android means a pure Version of Andriod like on Googles phones for example. Other companies modify Android, Samsung is calling it Samsung Experience. There are a lot more features but of course it slows down the system a bit.

Here's another hidden feature i didn't know about. If you point the camera over something you want to translate, you can translate it with the S pen through the camera using the S pen translation app. Pretty damn cool

I love that feature it's really cool but another cool one is safer School you need to retype out something on your phone that's in a textbook you can just take a picture and with your S Pen and you can copy and paste from the picture

I'm sure everyone who owns a Note 8 already knows, but I haven't seen it in any videos, is that you can disable the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. Just double tap on the little dot to the left and the nav bar goes away. Then swipe up from the bottom and it temporally comes back. Then to keep it on screen, just double tap the dot again.

How do you get the layout at your home screen with the Google Search bar off to the side, date, time, weather, setting options like that?

RedemptionRVA If you hold down the home screen you can choose 'widgets'. Find which one you want and put it on your screen. If you hold the widget down, it will come up with lines around the widget which you can then drag to make bigger or smaller.

to be clear, what's new about the Bluetooth feature highlighted in the video is that you can stream music to multiple listening devices at the same time. Older Samsung phones already allowed for multiple (at least 3) Bluetooth device connections simultaneously

On the last one on this video, I don't find a Floating Camera Button. I even searched and it didn't find one. And some of the options in Settings were different or in different order. Ricky......on the Note 8, Samsung added a feature that lets you bring down ur notification bar/panel by swiping down on the home screen(they'll probably add it in the next S8 family update)....so a swipe up for the app drawer and a swipe down for the notification panel.....the option can be turned on in the display settings

I looked for that setting on the AT&T version of the Note 8, but I don't see it. In other videos, I've seen it in the home screen settings, which can be accessed from the display settings, as you said. If anyone knows where this setting is in the AT&T version of the Note 8, I'd appreciate if you could point me to it.

For the floating camera button function, you don't have to go to the settings. When you are in camera mode, just drag the camera button on the bottom of the screen to anywhere you like and you can throw it back down to its original spot.

Tarz Thomas There actually is a home button, it's just a bit different. It's now on screen instead of an actual button. Also, if you push down on the "Home" icon, like he showed in the video to unlock the phone, there's a button under the screen.
