#marcussim Honestly zhang zhehan is a hero who suffered extreme slander due to bad people then he lost his career reputation and almost his life because of depression I cant imagine how he got through that. My top 5 are 1) Love Like the Galaxy (I thought it would have a higher Douban rating)-I have become addicted to this show because of ZLS & WL’s chemistry & their characters, also the storylines. I’ve never been this overboard for a show, but I love it. 2) A Dream of Splendor 3) Strange Tales of the Tang Dynasty 4) Who Rules the World 5) New Life Begins. I dropped Immortal Samsara because storyline bored me. Thank you for mentioning ZZH. I’m very happy the songs he’s dropped have all reached top ratings. 10. Who Rules the World (liked it a lot, did suffer a bit from off screen drama) 9. Blue Whisper (did not like at all, cast great, story boring) 8. Immortal Samsara (did not watch, wasn't really interested) 7. My Sassy Princess (it was okay, was disappointed in Crystal Yuan's character, the character didn't work for her) 6. New Life Begins (absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one, one of the surprisingly best this year, it was a very refreshing drama) 5. Love Like the Galaxy (should be so much higher on the rating, this one is my absolute favorite this year, loved it and have already watched it multiple times) 4. Strange Tales of the Tang Dynasty (haven't watched yet, heard it was good though) 3. Love Between Fairy and Devil (watched and dropped, couldn't get past Esther Yu's voice, sorry it was just way to hard for me to watch with her voice) 2. A Dream of Splendor (didn't watch, not really interested) 1. The Wind Blows from Longxi (haven't watched yet) My favorite would be Love Like the Galaxy, followed by New Life Begins. I don't really have a 3rd yet, because there a few I still need to watch. I am so happy about ZZH!!! Excited to see him overcome all his problems and come out even better. I am currently not following any dramas at the moment. I just finished Double Love, it was a semi okay story, but the editing ruined the drama. I will probably be starting Song of the Moon soon and I am waiting for Reborn Rich to finish to start. I love Song Joong Ki and excited to start his drama.

Omg! I totally agree with you with all your side comments on each of the dramas. I completely fell in love with Love Like The Galaxy. In all my years of watching CDramas (my very 1st one was Fated to Love You 2008 version although this is technically Taiwanese) Love Like The Galaxy is so far the only one that has captured my attention from the very 1st episode till the very last and now I’m currently rewatching it for the 4th time because it’s so freaking addictive! The chemistry between every single character there was so on point, the cinematography was a masterpiece, the acting skills of all characters were all superb, the plot of the story was so beautifully written, the comedy and serious moments were all perfectly spread out that not a single episode was boring or dragging. I cried, I laughed, i got scared, I got angry and kinda wanted to reach through my screen just to throttle whoever was being annoying at that time. Overall, this drama is THE Top 1 for me, next would be Who Rules The World. As for Love Between Fairy and Devil, I’ve only endured until ep. 10 then completely dropped it. I just couldn’t stand Esther’s voice and her acting was a little too cartoonish for my taste.

Reborn Rich is on Rakuten Viki and I'm fretfully waiting for episode 15. To say I'm hooked would be a major understatement. What an extraordinary cast! What an extraordinary show! I can't think of a SJK drama that I didn't enjoy; he chooses his roles well. I'm relieved ZZH is working his way back and defying the mindless and cruel prohibition of him by his own country over a matter that should never have been validated as a weapon against him, an attack born of spurious and malicious intent. The real criminals are those who mounted this attack on him and the authorities who supported it without any apparent investigation of the motivation.

My 2 favorites were a Dream of Splendor and Love Like the Galaxy. Mostly because the female leads weren't complete airheads, as in most Chinese dramas. Plus, the storylines were good and there was nice chemistry between the leads. Was looking forward to My Sassy Princess - because I like the male lead - but OMG! The female lead just grated on my nerves. Couldn't even finish it. I've tried to watch it several times, but just can't get past how frammin annoying she is. BTW, wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas. Having a little person to share it with this year will make it even better for you. And when he gets a bit older, it'll be even more fun.

Couldn't agree more. Love Like the Galaxy is my 2022 favorite C-Drama. I only watched a few C-Dramas, some I couldn't finish because the story is horrible and the characters are annoying. Not all are good quality dramas, some are way too long which is boring (LLTG is also longer but I'm totally okay with that because every episodes is worth watching), some stories are too predictable, some actors/actress are irritating to watch because it felt forced to do a comedic scenes which is cringey instead of being funny. Not at all actors/ actresses are suited for funny roles. Some C-Dramas they make the women characters so ridiculously infuriating, which some international fans like myself find it ughh 🙄😒😑 this is why Historical K-Dramas are lit compared to C-Dramas, for one women aren't trying too hard to be cute which I find some C-Stars tried and horribly failed.

It is unfortunate about Zhang Zhehan, that he is banned from the platforms of his country, by greedy people, gangsters, one day they will give him the place and recognition he deserves, while with his perseverance, strength and talent he continues to fight for his dreams, prove his innocence and obtain Justice. My top three would be... !) Side Story of Fox Volant...by far the best c-drama of 2022 for me personally, last drama I enjoyed as much would be Sword Snow Stride. 2) Wind Blows from Longxi...excellent acting (two of my favourites actors in fact...Chen Kun and Bai Yu were amazing in it), and who can say no to a Warring States spy drama. Just wish there had been more episodes. 3) Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty - looking forward to the followup. Nicely paced, interesting, and the best historical mystery drama I've seen since Ancient Detective. I feel this year wasn't the best for dramas, but its understandable all things considered. Hoping 2023 will be excellent, especially if Joy of Life season 2 airs! *fingers crossed* hoping to having some heavy historical/ political stories or Republican spy dramas next year.

Hi Marcus, thanks. My #1 favorite costume drama is 'Love Like the Galaxy'. I loved it sooooo much! Top notch acting by the entire cast. Hard to get invested in other C-drama's, for me they really set the bar high for other drama's. Currently watching the historical K-drama 'Under the Queen's Umbrella'. An excellent show!
