Brees is still the only player to drop 7TDs & 500yds in the same game. And it's a game his team still almost lost. Every other 7TD performance in history was won by an average of ~30pts. The guy was incredible.

This is why I've said to people about the 2014-2016 Saints. They didn't need a good defense, or even an average defense. They would've been a contender if they simply had a "bad" defense. Those defenses were beyond horrible...

Fun fact about that Washington-Giants game: the kickers for each team were brothers, Pete Gogolak for the Giants and his younger brother Charlie Gogolak for the Redskins. They combined for 14 made XPs (tied for the NFL record) and Charlie made the game’s only field goal late in the 4th for the final score of the contest.

I was gonna mention Bucs - Rams '19, but that was 95 points. Brees, Manning's, Romo... Cleveland - Bengals TWICE. That Chiefs - Rams game was incredible to watch live, hands down one of the best football games ever.

There were two games before the SB era that weren't accounted for: a 63-35 game with Chicago Cardinals vs Giants, and a 63-40 game of the 49ers over the Brooklyn Dodgers (lol). They combine for 98 and 103 total points, respectively. Both games happened in 1948, oddly enough. Still a great video!

@6:00 this perfectly describes Romo's career. Incredible player that had to force everything himself because of huge holes in the team at one point or another. Like many years, this year it was the defense that was absolutely terrible. I very well believe the romo of these years with the current cowboys under dan quinn and mike mccarthy would easily get a SB.

Rams vs Chiefs is the Best of these games because you had Explosive offenses, a Rams defense that forced 5 Turnovers, including 2 Scoop and Scores, and you got some turnovers forced from the Chiefs Defense too. Just the Absolutely complete football game.

The weird thing about the Chiefs Rams game is that both defense played well at times. It was either a big sack, scoop and score or pick. But on the other hand, a lot of big plays allowed. Perfect storm for a 54-51 game

Never forget Kansas City Chiefs vs LA Rams high scoring 2018-19 Monday night football matchup that was awesome and it broke the record of highest scoring in Monday night football game. The teams that originally held record for highest scoring MNF game was Washington Commanders/Redskins vs Green Bay Packers in 1983, Packers won 48-47

I think the Rams vs Chiefs was the best one, because those points were NOT all offense, both teams' defense had a say in it, and in the end it was a Rams defensive play that sealed the deal. All facets of football were played at a high level.

8:49 it baffles me and I just do not understand how the saints let their defense get so bad. Brees should of won 2 more super bowls. LOOK AT THAT OFFENSE. scoring 50+ freaking points. 500 passing yards and 7 TD’s. Brees was in the prime of his career but the defense put him through 7-9 records 4 times out of 5 years. Honestly the management and team failed Brees. We took him for granted. Historically dreadful defense and worst in the league but somehow Brees made sure we didn’t go 2-14.
