Honestly in this case it's largely the video editor's fault. She's explaining the jokes, which ruins them... Bowen Yang is one of the funniest cast members SNL has added in years. Bright future ahead for him I think.

I only found the Iceberg and SoulCycle to be funny. I like Bowen Yang. But most of the sketches this past season were stupid in my opinion. Also glaciers are large pieces of broken ice and icebergs are smaller pieces of ice.

Obviously, there's some conversation to be had there, like Ellen DeGeneres used to be really funny when she did her stand up, and it just proves how watered down and how much of a virtue signal Bowen Yang is. How none of it has to do with what you actually create and think, but what you're born as and what you can't control and that really shows up in the content. People say Bowen says, funny stuff and a lot every once in a while, like yeah I'm sure he's going to say a couple funny things when writers write jokes for them to say on a comedy show, but he has no comedic, intelligence or intuition. He's terrible at it. I just can't imagine him taking on his feet, and it's really disappointing especially when you think about Chris Farley, Dan Aykroyd, David Spade, Bill Hader, Will Ferrell, all these people can think on their feet and make a scene even funnier than it was before, all Bowen Yang can do is make a scene way worse and just gay it up.
