In the unfinished script for the canceled prequel, it was going to be revealed that she came to love Roger because he saved her from the Nazis, as they were enslaving her to make propaganda films, which would have been kind of weird since redheads were one of the many groups that the Nazis hated violently. I can think of multiple reasons why a film with a plot like that, accounting for the intended audiences and all, would have been canceled.
