For anyone who is a mega fan of sports car racing, this video will tell the story of the best Top 10 IMSA cars of all time that has been dominant in the IMSA endurance series.

So was the C5-R. But this video is IMSA cars, which the C7.R and C8.R are. The C5-R and C6.R are ALMS.

You musta forgot the all conquering Oreca Vipers. 4-5 year dominance before they BOP’D it to backmarker status. Amazing that this car isn’t on the list. It whooped everyone including Corvette, Porsche, Ferrari etc on all continents before the massive Bopping.

Oh trust me I did not forget the Oreca Vipers. At the time I just choose any top 10 cars for part 1. There are too many cars that made a name for themselves in IMSA. Btw I made a video all about the Viper racing history.

@@christheradar Gotcha. I’ll check out your Vid. The Porsche 917 were nasty as well as the modern 919. Audi R series prototypes were also the most dominant of its era before Porsche, Peugeot, Toyota come along. I’ll check out your part 2 as well.

Great use of Assetto Corsa to display the cars, but a little tip for next time, please replace the Kunos livery with real ones :) But again, great video! I love your quality!

12:55 there’s the 956/962 again with the kunos livery. No offense, it just directly jumps into my eye as an avid AC driver, lover of prototypes and I’m also a German engineer who’s as pendantic as possible when it comes to those minute details haha

#6 is in reality the #1 by a looooong margin. modern tires on it and it would be faster than current prototype cars and still is faster than allot on what it rolled on in 1993

The Nissan and Toyota GTP's should be higher up IMHO as neither were offered as customer car . The reason i didn't win the championship in 88 was it was a single entrant running against a field of Porsches, even with it's many wins it couldn't outscore the Germans taking up the rest of the points scoring places. It was also responsible for the chicane's utilization at Daytona. And Toyota came along and beat it even though the Nissan was still at the top of it's game.

The Single-Car WHELEN team is incredible, never count this team out and expect them to run up front. Back in the 80s live 20 minutes away from NPTI. Nissan performance technologies Incorporated which was in Vista California San Diego, and watched them race all the years they were at the del Mar fairgrounds in San Diego.
