You're absolutely right. Not everyone who might show a few symptoms of adhd/add doesn't mean they have it. Some neurotypicals don't understand how our brains work and prob never will, which is okay by me as long as they don't come off as a jerk about it; we're Neurodivergents by nature, very extraordinary people. I self diagnosed myself this year and it's really great to know there are others out there like me who think the same way I do and knowing that I'm not alone is calming to me. I’ve lived with ADHD all my life. I would get in trouble in school all the time and my grades were poor. I felt stupid. It was so bad that I didn’t have the confidence to go to college after I graduated. I remember being 25 & working a dead-end job. During a lunch break, while in a book store, I overheard someone who was my age stated that he had just finished his MBA. That was the turning point. The next week I went and did research on top professions for people who have ADHD and it was Marketing. At age 25, I went back to school and graduated with two degrees. At 36, I now make a six-figure salary in marketing.

After finding out shaq has it, and he is one of the most personable people, and someone like bill gates who became SO successful, it just proves that you can go hard still. Be fit, be loved, be happy, be successful. Dont focus on the failures and just keep it pushing, not trying is the worst cope strategy. Also pray, ramadan is coming up, change your whole life and try it. Its everything dr berg speaks about and more. The health benefits and mental benefits are wild. ADD/ADHD really isn't a disability , it's more of a hyper-ability. We think very fast and subconsciously recognize patterns, this is probably why we finish peoples sentences in our brains, and start responding before they finish. It seems annoying to average people , like we are interrupting them, yet to an person gifted with ADD, we find their dragging out a sentence so annoying when we already have heard what they are saying before they finish.. We don't have a lack of attention , but rather an abundance of thoughts we are paying attention to at once. My way of explaining this is to compare thoughts to music, I believe the averages person thought are like a simple solo melody, like the song " Mary had a little lamb" while for the ADD brain our thoughts are like a classical symphony, multiple instruments playing various melodies, counter melodies and rhythms all at once. To a person with ADHD who hasn't learned the proper techniques ( which most teachers and parents not gifted with ADD lack understanding) that mental orchestra is missing a conductor. But once a person with ADD develops that skill their output in the world is much more interesting than the Average person with their "Mary had a little lamb mentality

My grades were terrible in 4th grade, and taking meds for it changed my life tremendously. For those who with ADHD reading this, just know that your not alone. Of course, there’s gonna be days where some people think your acting mentally insane, but at the end of the day, look at it as a gift. I’ve had to work 10x harder than most of my friends, and I’m a happy high school graduate, who’s currently a service missionary, and will head back to school in Utah next year. It is frustrating because everyone always comments on how I always seem to have a lot of energy, even when I am not following my prescriptions. I haven't taken antidepressants since I was like 17, and convincing myself to take.... basically meth everyday, kind of bothers me. I know I shouldn't, since it does help but sometimes can't help it. They don 't realize that I am at the mercy of this incessant drive to.... stay engaged, I guess. I am as happy as a pig in shit by simply perusing the internet. With nothing but a glass of earl grey and a bowl of herb, I can think about anything and everything, come to understand how it all works and the big picture of it all. Just to click on another word or name, and lose it all into the cracks of my mind. I revel in it, even if I only remember some of the stuff for a few minutes. Playing music is the only thing I can claim to have come close to mastery of, and that is only in a sense. I will never stop learning in that area of life. The cruel irony is, no one really ever fully understands the true depths this can effect or even alter someones life. My Mom absolutely loves when I visit her, especially come time for Jeopardy. Strangely, I have almost come to terms with the idea that she is going to not only out live me... she's going to be working still too. She is a smart woman and loves brain teasers and all that jazz. Without fail, we will watch Jeopardy at least once during a visit and she plays exclusively to do better than me. She occasionally can pull off the upset... but I literally am just a never ending fount of "useless knowledge." At the very least, a lot of knowledge that no one really needs to know. It is kind of sad though in my eyes though. She is happy with this state of affairs, never noticing a simple fact. The same thing that makes me good at Jeopardy... In spit of the fact that I am very good, at a great many things and have a great depth of curioesity... I am the quintessential example of "a person that is a layman in everything. Yet, sadly, a master in nothing.

I have ADHD I was pretty hyperactive as a child, but now I mostly just had the problems with focusing. If I start to feel like I'm not paying attention I'll snap myself back to attention. I hate ADHD sometimes because I have trouble paying attention, but I keeps me active and creative I ran track all four years of high school and I love photography, drawing and writing. Running helps me focus because I'm just focusing on getting to the finish line

I have ADHD (as I've been told growing up), but I hardly show symptoms of it nowadays. I still have trouble learning by hearing during lectures though. Thank god for the internet, since video courses can easily be re-winded as many times as we want to until we know we learned and memorize everything. Whether ADHD/ADD is real or not, it should be a great thing since I wouldn't have a lot of ideas for personal projects if I wasn't always distracted by all the possibilities I think across.

Derumas Forlos of course not, but for example, we all know that the sex chromosomes are different, XX for women and XY for men, turns out Y is much smaller than X and has waay less genes, so diseases like color blindness or hemophilia affect mostly men, and it happens for sooo many diseases that I am not afraid of generalising, look it up, it is pretty interesting :)

I have had ADHD as a child and still notice it as an adult. I do think it can be used for good. People were always surprised how good I was at baseball when I was younger. But that was more of the discipline required by my coaches. Not really an affect of ADHD. I will say when you really do find something you love as someone with ADHD it can really make you think outside the box. For instance my company keeps asking me to write more and more blogs. And I just have to be like chill, if I'm burnt out and not really into what I'm doing then my mind is going to go other places. I love blogging but I don't want to be pressured into it or get burnt out and that happens easy for me. So it's really hit and miss and doesn't really work out so well in the real world like a lot of people claim. But yeah when you can bring it all together it works great. But that doesn't last long and then my head is somewhere else.

I want to say that this helps me every time I see this; I have ADD/ADHD, and growing up I would change my mind about everything. I'm not lying or asking for any sympathy; but I would take on so many things, that I would feel overwhelmed. Even right now in my adult life it's been hard, sometimes I wish I could talk to Justin Timberlake, ty pennington, channing tatum, Jim Carrey, Will Smith, etc; and ask them how they managed it all that time. Cause I sometimes everything can be to much, and being around people that makes me feel uncomfortable; the only people that made me feel like I can do something were my parents, and they've been gone for along time right know. So I guess in a way looking at this video, doesn't make me feel as alone as I've always thought, but I'd still would like to ask them that. 😔☺

I again always love this entertaining video. My pick is always Howie Mandel. And besides Jim Carrey, Amy Adams, Zooey Deschanel, Heather Kuzmich, Sylvester Stallone, Whoopi Goldberg, the late Robin Williams and Joan Rivers, Henry Winkler, Solange Knowles, Michelle Rodriguez, Emma Watson, Salma Hayak, Steven and Liv Tyler, the Olsen sisters Mary Kate, Ashley, and Elizabeth, the Fanning sisters Dakota and Elle, Dylan Sprouse, Will Smith, Ryan Gosling, Jack Nicholson, Cameron Diaz, Jack Black, Britney Spears, Ariana Grande, Christina Aguilera, Taylor Swift, Fergie, Hilary Duff, Avril Lavigne, Mena Suvari, Woody Harrelson, Scarlett Johannsen, Bryan Cranston, Tim Allen, Jessica Alba, Julie Bowen, Julie Benz, Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, Megan Fox, Dustin Hoffman, Alison Lohman, Jennifer Connelly, Shakira, Eliza Dushku, Paris Hilton, Elisha Cuthbert, and Carrie Underwood, the singer Billie Eilish should apply to this list. It's because she has slight A.D.H.D. in her. But I give Billie a lot of credit with her singing to help her cope with her A.D.H.D. , tourettes syndrome, and synestia, however you spell that, which she also has.
