This was all around great! For beginners, and also as a refresher/back to basics, for the more experienced harp nerds like myself!

I am far from a professional but Ronnie's KZbin videos have helped me come a long way. Watch all of his videos. I do play in a band and I am having a great time, so a Big Thank You to Ronnie. Very helpful info.

Thankyou for the reminder Ronnie. You gave me this advice last year at SPAH and I got it off your website two years ago on Guide to Becoming a Top Notch Blues Harp Player. I have now played for a little over 3 years and this is some of the best advice anyone could offer any player. Respect my Brutha!

i have only been playing harmonica for about three months but i can bend notes on all holes pretty well, even on three hole draw; i never played in front of anyone except my dog but over the weekend i went to a jazz festival and played a bit, ie i played Ronnies' holes 123 exercises and riffs; some people asked me how many years i have been playing for???it must be down to my trained diaphragm that i can do it, or maybe i am superman and didn;t know it!!thanks Ronnie for all your free material, whatever little i know is from you man!

There is a yoga breathing practice called "kapalbhati", passive inhale and strong exhale from the diaphragm that could be really helpful for people who struggle with their breathing; i am a freediver, i should know :)

Wow ! A fantastic lesson. Thanks Ronnie. Do you make an effort to remember hundreds of individual riffs, or do you reach a stage where you stop thinking about where to go at a concious level, and just go with it ? Cheers !

Ronnie, I've searched for years of a band (no longer 2gether) from KY, I think who recorded an instrumental of Twisted Steel w/a wonderful harmonica player. I had a CD of them, but it was "lost" years ago. Do you by some chance know who they were ? I love harmonica & my son bought me a set from a pawn shop. I'm an old girl... But hey, it's never too late to learn. TY so much.

Some questions for a beginner, me 1. I am right handed, which hand usually does what? 2. Normally, which side of the harp stays where? I mean the treble and bass sides 3. There are 10 holes in a diatonic harmonica, we have seven notes, how are they arranged in the harp??
@Harmonica1236 жыл бұрын
hold the harmonica in your left hand, use the right hand to cup and create effects. the low notes should be to your left. I will post a chart of the notes as they lay out on a C diatonic harmonica on my community tab on my youtube home page.

Hi Ronnie...intermittent Saturday class attender and huge fan. And embarrassingly, not the first time I've asked this question...lol...but is the backing track used in the opening of this video included in the flash drive of 59 backing tracks being promoted in the video description? Embarrassing, because it seems like every time I turn around I'm asking you about some backing track or another if they're not already listed in the vid description. haha But, the backing tracks you usually use I just find incredibly pleasing to the ear, this one being no exception. Anyway, $50 is a lot for me but I'd shell it out if this track was included. Let me know.
@Harmonica1232 жыл бұрын
I'll shoot you an email but there's a way to get in a smaller series of tracks without spending the full $50. That rate was also for flash drive shipped not a download.
