Hello the bearded IT dad. I want to work in the field of data science/engineering but I want to take as a course something larger than data . Do you think with the Microsoft Ai engineering certificate i will be able to work as a data scientist or it's something that will limit me to AI creation ?
@TheBeardedITDad Жыл бұрын
To be honest I haven't done any research on the Microsoft Ai engineering certificate so I can't really say. What I will say is if AI interests you then defiantly go after the certification. I never recommend going after certifications with just the hope it will help make more money because you will never be successful. Follow your dreams and do what makes you happy and excites you!

The IBM data science certificate is not a certification. It just says you sat through a bunch of videos. You don’t pay for a proctored exam that gives you an industry-respected credential upon passing.
@samuelkandoje1425 Жыл бұрын
So any certification that doesn't involve an exam in the end like Cisco and CompTIA is not worth it?
@PaladinLeeroy42069 Жыл бұрын
@@samuelkandoje1425 yeah no one in industry cares, and most universities don’t even accept it as credit so that says something

There is a difference between Certificates and Certifications. Certificates show that you have completed a course including some labs, quizzes each Coursera, Cisco Skills for All, FreeCode Camp However Certifications involve a proctored exam and you have to pay. These are the real deal eg CCNA, CompTIA, ISC2 CISSP

Certifications are playing a really big role for technical positions like sys admins, networking and cloud engineers, etc. However, I don't think developers need certifications that much. Surely a company would be way more interested to invite for an interview someone with good web and software projects rather than holding a certification, just saying. Great video!

@TheBeardedITDad2 жыл бұрын
You don't have to if you're fairly tech savvy, but if you're just starting out on the field, it's good to have that fundamental knowledge
@adziup Жыл бұрын
perhaps you dont have to, but it would be good for you to understand some knowledge required to do that specific role. Comptia is recommending have Server+ and Network+ certs and then go to the cloud, but in order to accomplish them you would need to have A+ first. So basically the best skill build for you would be: A+ > Network+ > Server+ > Cloud+ And even if you would not wont to have official cert, paying for exams etc. it still would be good for you to get familliar with this knowledge they require.

You will not get a job in the cloud with either of those. Very lazy video. Using a study from a certification mill is very problematic.
