What do you guys think about the Pochette Metis in black? So in love with this bag since ages but scared its not going to be a good investment. I have in Navy blue emperiente monogram leather and it doesn't hold a lot, but I have no regrets buying it because it's so pretty. I only use it if I go out to dinner or I'm not going too far from home because of that.

I have 2 Alma, PM and MM. In addition with a black/silver reversible shawl and a couple belts. Love them but regret to buy. It was years ago when I bought new at boutique and order online. It cost me over 10k buying luxury. I enjoyed them but won't buy again with this unstable economy, plus it's no longer safe on the streets to carry and showing we have money.

While I believe getting a variety of opinions is helpful, it really comes down to your personal style, body frame and preferred functionality. I've never liked the LV brand because I prefer understated luxury goods. That, and because back in the early 90' before I ever bought a pricey handbag, I was in Italy and fake LV bags were being sold in the back alleys in most big cities. So that gave me the impression that they were cheap-looking bags that had way too much branding plastered all over them.

@@amommyreview she bs. In italy, specially in Florence, they DON'T sell fake. What say leather is genuine leather. They may copy the style but Not allowed to put a fake Logo. I bought a couple leather bags in boutiques, very beautiful and high quality at a fraction of price. Even those bags sell at flee market along the alley ways (a lot in Florence) very cheap and beautiful for gifts at a cheap price. But they never have counterfeits brand name. The law in italy is very strict about counterfeits. People can get arrested for using counterfeits at airport, same in Paris.

I think all the vintage Louis Vuitton bags are timeless. Little used, PreLoved? Find a trusted cobbler to do the repairs. Some of new LV bags, accessories are cut on quality. Chaps, ribbing and some bag handles, straps are not as sturdy as the vintage ones. Reinforcements for the shoulder straps, pockets, and such needs to be added. ThankU ThankU
