프랑스에서 태어나셧으면 브랜드 회사 장인이 아니라 전세계 에서 인정받는 예술가 가 되셧을겁니다. 한국에 저정도 나이 드신 장인분들 대부분 사정을 들어보면 어렸을때 가정형편이 어려워 학교는 못가고 일찍 일배우신 분들임. 지금이야 풍족해서 인정받으시지만 그땐 장인이란 칭호는 커녕 하찮은 직업이란 인식이 있었음. 만약 저런분들이 프랑스 에서 태어나셧으면 재능이 일찍 발견되서 예술쪽으로 엘리트 코스 밟으셧을 겁니다. 물론 장인분들 어렸을때 기준으로 말한것이고요 지금 우리나라 상황이 좋아졋죠

왜 눈물이 나는지 모르겠어요. 저희 엄마도 학업을 마치지 못하고 10대때부터 수선일을 하셨거든요. 근 40여년을 저렇게 한땀 한땀 누군가의 옷을 고치고 만들고, 손톱이 틀어지고 실에 손끝이 베여 갈라지면서도 하는 일이 재밌다고 손님들이 웃을 때마다 뿌듯하다는 저희 엄마 생각이 나네요. 저기 계신 분들도, 저희 엄마도 단순히 가방이나 옷을 수선한게 아니고 본인과 가족의 삶을 꿰매고, 다림질하고, 덧대며 만들어온거라고 생각해요. 저분들 가족들은 이 영상 보면서 정말 자랑스럽고 한편으론 이 영상이 너무 고마우실 거에요. 영상 속 기술자님들 손 다치지 않고 건강히 일하셨음 좋겠어요. 진짜 진심으로 존경합니다. 💜💐

I do jobs like this, it started by someone coming into the clothing alteration shop I work in and asking if we do leather work. We didn't at the time but I said "yeah, I'll give it go", we're now known for our quality Leatherwork. With the right tools and practice, anyone could do it.

@lemonade You're going to need a walking foot sewing machine which aren't cheap but you maybe able to pick up an old one for a good price. I've found that the older ones are easier to repair if you have problems. Then get some old bags from the second hand shop, pull them apart and put them back together for practice, then put yourself out there.
