Yes sadly it's gone, along with the Narciso EDP. I'm suspicious that Poudrée might also have been discontinued but I don't for sure. I hope you find a bottle of Rouge if it's a love.

Alien Essence Absolue, Midnight Poison and Miss Dior Cherie. I managed to buy 3 bottles of Essence Absolue. So so wonderful, I have never felt like myself with another fragrance. I bought Midnight Poison and I am trying to find Miss Dior Cherie 2005. I am willing to pay a niche price because of how much I love them. I have Flower L'Elixir and it is pretty but a bit too powdery for me. Truth or Dare is a bubblegum tuberose bomb but I treasure it.

Aah! Did you see my first loved and lost video? I talk about Alien essence absolue, Midnight Poison and also Miss Dior Cherie. I now have a partial of Alien Essence Absolue and a decant of Midnight Poison. I tried a clone of miss Dior Cherie, but I've not tried the original. The clone didn't wow me, but I've no idea whether it was close or not. Kenzo flower L'elixir I recently found and purchased and I like the drydown but the opening is a little plasticky for me. Truth or Dare I have half a bottle left of, I love that one 😊 I really would love to find the flanker though! Thanks for watching 🥰

Hi Claire! 💖 Of these, I've tried Plum Japonais, Narciso Rouge, Woman Intense, and Alien Eau Sublime. Since you asked our thoughts, my opinion is that they are all beautiful in their own ways. In terms of being interesting enough to track down, my vote goes to Alien Eau Sublime for bottle presentation, performance, and scent. It's super good!

Of the perfumes you listed, I *highly* recommend Valentino Aqua if you can find it. It is the best from the Donna line, it’s a shame they discontinued it. The pear & almond are beautifully done. It is far above (and unlike) any of the perfumes people “compare” it to. Gucci ii was great (unique) in its time, but not one I’d worry about hunting down to purchase again today. French Kiss, and Alien Sublime are also both really good.

I've not loved the rest of the Donna line so I'm intrigued by Donna Acqua as it sounds quite different! I think that view seems to be the consensus on Gucci II so far, fondly remembered, but not one to hunt for now. French Kiss has really got me, it's stunning! I have heard about Kenzie Flower L'Elixir so many times so I do have a bit of FOMO with that one, but probably won't go out of my way to try to find it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Yes I've heard Kathleen Lights talk about Gucci II and it inspired me to buy a dupe once. Not even sure if I can even still find it but I remember it being kind of fresh pretty and light.

Hello Claire, yes I definitely recommend you to put your nose on Plum japonais if you can. I'm not a great fan of Tom Ford but this is one of the few I have from the brand and my favourite one. I love French Kiss, this is my favourite lipstick fragrance. It was recommended to me after trying Lipstick Fever and being so disappointed by it. I really don't regret my purchase. Indeed it's a pity this one got discontinued and I don't think it will come back as they already released Rose chérie. On the other hand I still hope that Mademoiselle will come back as I cannot find anything similar to this one. It was one of the first orange blossom/ marshmallow scent on the market but it is green, elegant and not too sweet for my taste.

Aah wow! I also don't love many Tom Ford, I like most, but I usually feel underwhelmed. I would love to find a sample of Plum Japonais. Franch Kiss was a wow! And yes nothing like Lipstick Fever, different leagues! I clearly need to try Rose Chérie... I hope you find something similar to Mademoiselle eventually too! 🥰

Ralph Lauren did a scent back in the early to mid 1980s in a short, square brown bottle I think the name was just "Lauren." It was very nice, smelled like my mom's cedar chest, rich and deep. This was around the time I was wearing Liz Claiborne and Tatiana.

i love narciso rouge (the EDT version), i have way too many bottles (200+ ranging from cheapies, designers, and obscure niche) and still rouge EDT is the closest thing i've ever thought i could call a signature scent, and i've even finished a bottle of it. i prefer the EDT over the EDP, it's lighter and easier to wear and just has the perfect balance of florals, sweetness, musk, and a little sharpness. the EDP is too heavy and like cream makeup as you mentioned. the cubes from Narciso are my favourite designer line, but i love the original white EDP and black square EDT and the ambree - the poudree was my least favourite haha! i also love Plum Japonais but it's impossible to find and crazy $$$, as alternatives i love Serge Lutens Feminite du Bois (not similar at all) and CK Secret Obsession (a little similar but definitely not the same). would you consider doing a video on sampling Amouage and/or Serge Lutens? I'd love to hear what you have to say

I really like the for her black EDT too and it was close with which I bought between poudrée and the original EDP with the Narciso line. I had forgotten about Rouge EDT! I did try it though and yes, it was a little lighter, really lovely! Interesting to read the comparisons with Plum Japonais, I've not tried Femininité du Bois, ice tried quite a few other serge Lutens though. I can write some notes and get round to reviewing them. I also have some amouage samples that I can talk about too, but it just might take me some time to wear them all a few more times and make a video. Thanks for watching 🥰

I too love Kenzo Elixir I still enjoy it. I’ve never heard of Catch Me. I did have Alien Sublime and loved it! Narciso Rouge I have a huge bottle and enjoy it. I just purchased a new bottle of Poudree and will always love it. To me NR Rouge is my least favorite of all of them.I’m going to continue to enjoy sporadically Elixir but Alien Sublime is the only one I’d try to track down. Never had a Madonna scent. Kenzo elixir I'm looking out for! It sounds like a winner, along with Alien Eau Sublime. I don't think I will get Rouge, there's something a little off about it on my skin, I like it from the atomiser, but I think on skin, poudrée is the winner for me 😊 thanks for watching 🥰

I have travel sprays of RL Woman & Intense. "Intense" is appropriate, because it has a spicier, deeper floral scent with the addition of black vanilla husk and ambetrwood. Woman is suitable for the day, while Intense works well at night. Just a thought: on the batch of travel sprays, i had another discontinued RL -- Notorious. Perhaps it's worthwhile to check travel spray sizes for any (recently) discontinued scents. I didn't do well with the Plum Japonais, as there was too much cinnamon in it as well as cypress and fir. Those scents were all I could smell. Guerlain recently had a shake-up in some of their lines; discontinuing some or renaming others.

Thanks for the comparison of Woman and intense, that's useful. Sometimes I don't love amberwood, but spicier sounds good. I will check travel sprays and see if I find anything. ☺️ Tom Ford fragrances are very divisive for me, they can go either way, Plum Japonais would be a very expensive and very risky blind buy but I would love to try a sample. Hi Claire, I don't know if you'll see this as I'm commenting a bit late. I, like you, was desperate to smell the kenzo l'elixir based on descriptions but for me the original DNA was more prominent than the extra notes and it was a no. I also caught the Kathleen lights hype on Gucci II and ordered it from USA! - it was very light and quite generic smelling to me so I sold it on immediately. Obviously it is all so personal but hopefully this will help. Thank you I love and watch all your videos x

Narciso Rouge did survive my part 3 declutter. It is still in a sealed box though, and I told myself if I use up the decant I have of it within a year or so I will keep it, if not I may declutter. I have the "generous spray" edition which is in a black bottle, in the shape of their other musk line, not a cube.

Thinking about that one, I remember liking the EDT version of rouge more, but I don't feel I need either with ambrée and poudrée. Poudrée is very nearly gone and is my favourite really. Hiya! I can’t remember most of the Flower flankers - the OG will always be the best. I prefer Gucci I, which is spicier, smokier, sweeter, etc. I think you would have loved it! Valentino fragrances are quite tame. I remember liking Uomo/Uomo Intense, Donna BIR Intense and Voce Viva… but not too sure if I have tried Donna Acqua Woman Intense has become a bit of a dark horse, I wasn’t aware of it until its discontinuation. I think people were also comparing it to Alien and The Only One Intense? The flacon for Catch Me is a beauty. Very futuristic and alien-esque… definitely an intentional design 😅 It also reminds me of snail eggs, so there’s that. I loved Eau Sublime, but hated the bottle. Much prefer the bottle (and scent 😅) for Eau Extraordinaire Plum Japonais is beautiful. I think there’s a possibility that you would enjoy it. While we’re on the subject of TF, I also loved Shanghai Lily (Opium & Nu by YSL are both similar to SL) TOD Naked was a spicy, chocolatey floral oud to me. Quite nice actually 😊 M7 by YSL was an oud fragrance that was released in the early 00s, I think that was one of the first main designer fragrances to feature oud in its composition. I’ve been seeing French Kiss on my timeline a lot lately. Must be a sign 😂 NR make some wonderful fragrances. Easygoing and classy. The original white EDP was everything and more. Sad to see its demise, and now the Rouge flanker is going too 😢 Should you buy them? 1 - No, there’s enough raspberry jam doughnut fragrances out there to quench your hunger 2 - No, the prices that sole sellers charge nowadays are too expensive, especially for a fruity floral like G2 3 - Yes, because why not!? 4 - No, since I don’t think that it would be anything too amazing or unique enough to warrant a purchase 5 - No, you could just buy modern Alien EDT. 6 - Yes, anything Mugler is a win in my eyes, especially pre-L’Oréal 7 - Yes, but no. It’s a wonderful fragrance but it’s so hard to find, and if/when you do come across it… the prices, again, are extortionate 8 - Yes, since you love the original TOD, I would go for it. A celeb fragrance that’s on the nicer side. 9 - No, I doubt that it would be easy to find. 10 - No, you said it yourself - you’re fine with the sample you have!

Is Alien EDT discontinued? I've not seen it about lately. I am still looking for a lot of pre L'Oréal Mugler fragrances but they get snapped up quickly if they are reasonably priced unfortunately. Yes, I think actually I did see it had reappeared in John Lewis recently after a few months of it not being there, so yes a reformulation, potentially because of the lily of the valley aromachemical regulation changes. I know the EDT used that... Thanks 😊

Of the ones you mentioned here is my take on the ones I have : Ralph woman is a bright tuberose whereas the intense is darker - opening on it has an amazing tart rhubarb note and for me it’s the winner . For Madonna naked it is very different from the original - balsamic smelling but in the best way possible . I have the NR rouge in the edt and edp and both are similar lipsticky musks with edp having a bit more substance to it . For me out of all of them I like weaing the woman intense the most but all are worthy of getting your nose on . Hope that helps Claire ! 🇨🇦

I used to have a bottle of Woman Intense by RL. It’s very good and also very sweet. It’s the kind of sweetness that I get tired of. Ended up decluttering it after having it for almost a year. It’s also a commitment. Couldn’t wear anything else that day lol

Had no idea it was being discontinued and never jumped on it before it got crazy expensive. I did get a dupe of it and I hate it, going on Mercari! Has that bbq note, no thanks. Donna acqua is very nice. Fruity almondy floral. Super nice. Very light. I wish they'd bring it back but it definitely won't last even for half a day. French kiss sounds so nice. Plum Japonais makes me so curious 🤔 gosh no one wants a BBQ fragrance 🤣 good luck selling it! Donna Acqua seems like a crowd pleaser, a lot of people seem to like that one, shame about the longevity... I have Plum Japonais from a scent sub and it wasn't a love for me. It's a bit too unisex for my tastes. I do love Donna Acqua though! It's similar to GoN to my nose, but different enough to warrant both 😂. I wish I had gotten a chance to try Catch Me and French Kiss, they sound interesting.

I have a sample of Plum Japonais and here are the notes I made on it: "So much spice! Cinnamon and clove overload. Opened spicy, boozy plum.. settles and gets better, but nah" Keep in mind I'm very sensitive to clove and cinnamon, I can take cinnamon in *some* fragrances but clove is almost upsetting to me Lol

Clove is massively hit and miss for me, I think this sounds like a no, also from the price point, I am unlikely to find this for a reasonable amount ever... It's super rare now and was pricey to begin with!

I was suddenly less interested when I saw it compared with Burberry Brit EDT 🤷‍♀️ as I get that it might not be unique, but several other people have said that it's a light easy reach kind of fragrance and they all seem to enjoy it, much like you. I scored a 90ml narciso rouge just last month and I feel so relieved. It’s hauntingly beautiful and my favourite from the Narciso line, even more so than Poudree which was my signature scent for a few years.

That was very lucky. I absolutely love poudrée! I am not sure about Rouge for me, there's something that isn't quite right about it on my skin, but out of the atomiser it's a thumbs up 👍

I loved this video! The ones that got away 🙂I too have been intrigued by Donna Acqua as I love an almond note. I used to have Alien Eau Sublime - I didn't get any tropical florals at all, or powdery/heliotrope - it was straight up Alien jasmine and a strong citrus lemon note. Nice, but I sold it about a year ago as my heart wasn't in it. I recently smelt Loubimar by Christian Louboutin and to me, it smells identical to Eau Sublime, even though that lists tuberose. It's funny you say you suspect this would have been a better choice over Eau Extraordinaire, as I felt the same in favour of that one, haha!

Of the ones listed, I wonder the same thing about Ralph Lauren Woman Intense as I already have the original. Plum Japonais, to me, is absolutely original and beast mode. It reminds me only slightly of Feminité du Bois(which I own as well). I have a hard time describing it. I smell plum and beautiful oud, not bothered by the spices, and it is not sweet. I love it in its originality, but I don't really have an occasion to wear it. I own original Madonna Truth or Dare, i guess this is what they describe as bubble gum tuberose, but to me, Armani My Way really smells like bubble gum and this doesn’t at all. It is like this creamy moist tuberose, beautiful. Out of all of my tuberose scents it is closest to Alexander McQueen EDP. I owned briefly a first edition Fracas EDT, and I would say the dna is very similar. I've also had Madonna Naked for more than a year, and I wasn't sure what I think of it, very original and totally different than the og, but now I strongly like it. I can smell the cacao, but it is not sweet. I also smell some aura around it like a white amber note.

I used to have Gucci II. It was such a lovely scent, light, airy, girly. No brainer, fruity floral, a little but woody, perfect for spring. Givenchy Ange ou Demon Le Secret is most similar to it (and Chanel Chance Eau Tendre) but Gucci II was best of them. I miss this scent. As for Narciso Rodriguez - I love his fragrances (I've had Narciso for Her edt ) and I was so thrilled when all those cubes were released. I went to Sephora with my mom and Rouge was the only scent that she liked in the shop. However, on my skin it was strange, I did't like it at all. The best for me and the most delicious on my skin is ambree - if only it lasted longer on my skin I'd definitely buy a bottle. I miss the Poudree one because I've never had a chance to try it and I believe I might have liked it.

Gucci II has definitely got me curious to sniff it! I can imagine what it might be like from your comparisons. The Narciso cubes are mostly fab for sure. I debated a bit between the EDP and poudrée but I was happy with my choice in the end 😊 ambrée won out over rouge for the same reason as you state. I like it from the bottle or on paper but on my skin there's something a bit almost sour about it, I'm not sure where that comes from. I was happy that I went for ambrée. Thanks for watching 🥰

Me too! I have by night and I finished wanted girl, they are unusual. I love the extreme syrupy sweetness of by night! If makes me feel happy 😊 I missed out on Valentina, the grey one always intrigued me! And I think I only tried the original from the Gioia line... Is ocean a good one?

I’ve done it with Lolita Lempicka’s original EDP & Mugler’s Alien Eau Extraordinaire (as well as a couple others Not on your list) & I don’t regret the time it took to seek them out & add them to my collection. I’ve learned that the ‘seeking & adding them’ part, for me, was/is more satisfying than the fragrance itself! Must be the huntress in me! Anyway, in knowing this, I’m more guarded now in pursuing any discontinued fragrance I haven’t tried.

Tom Ford’s Plum Japonais was very intense and interesting. I only sampled it once, and predictably the strongest scent that I remember is plum, but it was a plum scent that completely enveloped my brain! I regret not having bought it, but at the time I wasn’t sure I could stand up to the perfume’s power. Now older and less afraid of strong scents, I’m sad that I can’t buy it because I think I would enjoy wearing it to holiday parties and other occasions . Oh well. These are the breaks in perfume world. ☹️

Hi Claire, Gucci ll was a treasured love for me. I own a bottle on my 'discontinued do not use' shelf lol. If you sample Banana Republic Peony and Peppercorn it will give u a hint to what it smells like. Its not a dupe but the most similar ive come across👍🥰 i long to own Ralph Lauren Woman Polo Sport again and Oceanus from the body shop. But im feared to buy them at silly prices when they could be off due to the age of them. Sad times 😢

Hi, Claire! I would go for the Kenzo one and Valentino Donna acqua. Personally, I love Kenzo fragrances because I love vintage makeup smelling fragrances and one of my favourite youtubers, Gabriella Carillo, really loves it and says it smells like an amaretto liquor which I find interesting.

Hi Claire! I was also intrigued by Donna Acqua and managed to buy a 10 ml decant. Let me tell you that I absolutely adore it! It's bright, juicy and sweet in the opening, really beautiful and feminine without being juvenile. As it dries down you get the flowers and becomes more and more warm and almondy, I can't believe is no longer available! I don't have anything like this in my 100-ish collection and it could easily be a signature scent specially for spring day time. I think you have to try it!!! 🥰🥰🥰

I used to use and love Narciso Rouge, now I think it would be too strong for me to wear. The same goes for the white cube of Narciso edp. And I regret many perfumes being discontinued, that can't be replaced with any dupes. Among the ones I miss the most are Gucci Envy Me (pink lace bottle) and Cacharel Promesse. I would love to be able to wear them again, although, as you said, our taste changes with time, so I might not like them as much as I used to...

RL Woman Intense smells very similar to D&G The Only One Intense! I owned both at one point but kept D&G as I had that first. I also prefer the coconut and apple notes in D&G. Woman Intense doesnt smell too similar to og Woman in my opinion

I own Donna Aqua but it honestly to my nose reminds me of of Elie Saab girl of now. It’s very sweet. Initial burst is lovely but dry down is nothing special. Don’t always believe the hype.
